my simple training method for more yield

i posted this about 1yr 1/2 ago on another forum

a couple weeks ago i received a plant from a friend that was ready for the flowering stage, he had topped it to fit in his car but as it was i knew i could get alot more out of it giving it a couple more weeks 24/7 and training the branches outwards
when i first received the plant the two highest branches would have pointed straight up in a v shape but with training them to go straight outwards as you will see in pics the plant started mainy new shoots coming out of the stems off the sides, i also trained all the other branches outwards to maximise the final yield results.
now to the simple method

all i used was dime bags with heavy'ish hooks in them and threaded a large hook through the dime bag to hang off the edge of the branches. the branches ofcourse started resisting and grew thicker and stronger so i then added sinkers into the dime bags for more weight. you could use anything with weight in the dime bags, this is just what i used ... also in doing so and strengthening the branches will ensure your plants are strong enough to support large buds

you ofcourse can do this to a non topped plant .. having branches stretch out further = more light the branches can get to

even if not dime bags gives ppl ideas ... best thing about dime bags is you can put whatever in it to add weight and if using hooks like me easy to thread through them and the hooks hang nicely off the branches

so the first 4 pictures you will now see are only 2 weeks of 24/7 .... take note of all the branches shooting off from the top of the plant

there are a total of 6 diff stages there are pics for (usually 4-5) you will be able to see the differences hopefully ;)

I plan on implementing a very similar approach to your method. Maximize the space between branches so that lights hit the whole cola and makes for great, massive buds.

pity about the bad pics, should had turned the hps off but anyways some may disagree but in my eyes this is a better setup then a scrog as the netting blocks light to the leaves which i think it's best to get as much light to the buds and leaves (unless leaves blocking light to buds which in that case just tuck them under)
