having grown out a trailer before ill tell you this:
run a new panel from the meter (bypassing the shitty wiring altogether)
the insulation sucks so manage temps CAREFULLY!!!
for the first few years of it's existence a trailer does a lot of "off gassing" (mostly formaldehyde.
spills will RUIN the floor, literally spill enough times and the floor will rot through!

DON'T GROW IN A TRAILER PARK!!!!

They make duct silencers or you could make a duct silencer. I saw a youtube video were a guy packed his fan in a cooler filled with insulation. It's not such a big deal in the summer months since trailers typically use window units.

My setup will be a home built grow tent. My only issue is I really don't like that I've got to cut some holes in the floor to cool my lights. I'm gonna do my best to make it easily repairable.

As far as power goes, my only gripe is that the trailer used 15 amp breakers and 14 awg wire for some of the bedrooms and I can see where they were overloaded in the past. The breakers were replaced and all appears kosher .

The thing you need to know about trailers is that no interior wall is a support wall.... plumbing is under the home not in the walls. This means you can rip out any interior wall with really no consequence. Now frame in the space using proper building materials...insulate accordingly. Sound issue defeated. Plus if you frame one half of the home...leaving essentially a living room, ktichen, master bed and bath....and lotta custom framed grow space. If you have the ability...buy a used trailer, modify...then move it to the park of your choie...then no one knows the difference...just a new neighbor. Go get a part time at the local gas station...shut up and blend in. Shouldn't be that hard. Lotta trailer folks are just poor and angry and wanna be left alone...

If you talking about Manufactured homes?. Any new home like this is just like a regular home as far as the electrical panel goes. I have one it has 200amp service comming in my Dads house is the same 100amps.

I don't think a trailer park is a good option if you're never home. If you show up once a day at the most and always leave pretty quick people will wonder what is going on if they pay attention at all. You'd be better off renting an apartment and using odor control, unless you live in a small town with a trailer park but no apartments.

nothing crazy but ive noticed a trailer is more than fine for a 1-2k.if you want to do a 3k or more just for peace of mind id find a house.most houses can run 4k without raising suspicion of the electric company...

the neighbors are the biggest factor.especially if you plan to bring in and out large bags of dirt or whatever your chosen medium is.even bigger of a factor is disposal.every trailer ive even been to had its driveway in the front where everyone can see what is coming in and out of your trunk...ive incorporated a lot of totes to my grows in the past for that reason.much better to bring storage totes in than bags of grow equipment...

most of the neighbors where im doing things keep to them selfs, but watch everything.its not a low scale trailer park if thats possible lol.nice double wides in my area.mostly old people too stupid to question me.if theyre on to me they have not called the cops so i dont know, they seem oblivious.

if i had any other option it would be in a house.i own the property and it needs to be used for something.all in all not that bad of an experience.drive sucks balls.50$ every few days in gas just to go water is probably my biggest compliant.

There are 2 threads going about this....My home is 1800sf large enough to do at least 6k grows here... I dont grow that big anymore I'm just growing for me now 2 600.... I was wrong about my Elec Panel I also have 200a coming in...My park is a medium sized park about 80 homes all Double wides. You must live in your unit park rules... My Neighbors are cool retired guy on one side and a Latino couple on the other....The pool is about 50 yards from my unit :) Im happy here.....

Have grown in a mobile home in a trailer park with no probs. Just depends on where you are. If you are in a trash trailer park than expect problems. If your in a nice trailer park ie 80k double wides and manufactured homes I seiously doubt you would have any problems.

Bottom line is be smart idc if you live next to poor people or rich if you do stupid things you will get caught. The only difference is poor people will steal your pot , wealthier people will call the cops... You decide which you'd prefer.

it's kinda like an apt grow, kinda

put anything that makes noise in a box. fans, a/c whatever. like an apartment grow. you can always vent underneath the trailer, the floor is just plywood. the walls are flimsy as shit. put a layer of panda, then a bunch of insulations, then another layer of panda. noise proofs misc noise and keeps temps more constant.

some mobile parks put your elec bill on the rent invoice. so inquire about that. might look weird if you bust 100 amps every month. you can say AC in the summer, but not in the winter.

yeah, and live there. the people you should know and appear normal to, will tell you about the people you should not know or hang out with. those are the folk who wander around all talkative as shit like their on pills or meth. they are.

managers don't like troublemakers, and like bills paid. that's usually enough on that part.

With circulation fans and a boxed window 18000 btu air conditioner indoors, for roughly a 2400w grow. The space is 7x11. Can I contain the noise within that room? Will the sound travel through the walls of a single wide mobile home with some insulation in the walls?

My park does not allow Window AC units. I use a portable 12k unit. There not as efficient but no one knows I have a separate AC unit running.. I keep everything a stealth as I can..

plan your floorplan. noisemakers should be on interior side

7x11 is pretty narrow. 4 600s? plan out your boxed AC. an 18k btu unit needs a 240v plug, and is big. i could fit an 18k in my box just barely. the bent ducts and footprint of the box+walking room is almost a 1k lights footprint. you'll need to have a 240 line from your (hopefully) interior sub panel to a AC plug.

you could hang it from studs i suppose. an 18k is fuckin noisy. you'll want to put up solid sound shielding, like some plywood+insulation/trailer exterior wall. and then staple some carpet to the plywood (which faces the room) so you don't have an echo chamber.

i cut plywood in 3x7 strips, wrap it in a moving blanket and pretend it's an entertainment unit that'll be put together. don't use OSB, it offgasses.

venting under the floor, stick a home furnace filter (cut a piece) hepa on the intake duct. some 2" square wire netting over the duct too. i've always feared critters in my duct. i'm just weird like that i guess.

how are you going to lay out 2400w in a 7x11 room? my dehumidifier, fans, ac/fan box, supply shelf take up a lil room. and i have 10x11. as you can see, i have an easy ~8' long area (factoring some clear area to walk/work w the plants on either end) by 6' footprint.

my screen is 4.5' though. i suppose two 4x4 tables would give me a lil more room...

Security is bad on most trailers. Someone can punch a hole through the door easily. I would have a carpenter disassemble the doors and install something that is hard to get into. I would use a double key bolt lock or maybe a key code lock on the front for ease of entry. One situation I am aware of is where someone had a grow a few miles out of town. A sheriff whent out there snooping around, broke in, and saw the grow. He locked it back up and used a plug in phone to dial 911 from the outside phone box and hung up. Of course the cops had to break in to investigate the hang up 911 call and found the grow. Might be best to not have a land line on a grow but use mobile only. Of course, then you have the GPS and phone triangulation problem. Maybe just not have a phone within 5 - 10 miles from the grow turned off and the battery removed. And a grow really needs someone there 24/7. To bad pardners are so hard to find.
