Hello.. I am looking to buy a meter and would like to know which would be the best to get. I have the ph drops and they work fine or would i be better of getting a meter or just stick with the drops and get a PPM meter? thanks. Trying to make heads and tails of all of this.

For me Soil is all guesswork fuck the meters/drops... plants will tell you whats up... BTW I Can't actually on good faith say not to get a ph meter... I don't use em' in soil personally... but if anything get a ph meter and as far as ppm this ain't hydro just cut back on the recommended dosage of nutes recommend on the feed chart for the brand you use then gradually get close to 100% feed but read your plants if they look like they are burning up back of a bit... cannabis is a strong plant...

i have only used the drop so have no input on the electronicle things but i have had many successful harvests with the drops. if that was any help at all..

I like the drops, but they don't do you much good if you are running anything with a color to it. For EC, I have a BlueLab truncheon and love it. As far as pH goes, I've used drops, strips, a Hanna Gro-Chek pen, and finally broke down and bought the one that I should have in the first place - a BlueLab pH meter. The drops and strips have the above-mentioned color issues, and the Hanna was so problematic that it had me tearing out my few remaining hairs. The BlueLab, on the other hand, is all of the things that the Hanna was not - fast, repeatable, and confidence-inspiring. I found it on eBay for about $150 and would have paid double as a result of the Hanna's expert salesmanship. From my experience, the BlueLab products can't be beat.
