Found my way here and was thinking it could be worth putting up my active project i got.

Perhaps i should introduce myself:
From Sweden.
23 of age.
Second time growing.
University Student.

Been trolling some Swedish growers forum, which got a great community, but I felt like expanding, perhaps get some extra tips n' trix during the project.

Vanilla Kush x4

Both Regular.

Incoming:

LowRyder X (AF)

Speccs:
Soil
250w CFL (6400k) + 400w HPS (+ Cooltube)
180m3 carbon filter + exhaust
120mm + 80mm inline computerfans
Nutes: Canna vega/flores - PK13/14 + Boost

Box: (cm)
140x45x100 (Width/dept/hight)
Vegetation: 40cm/140cm
Bloom: 95cm/140cm (fits 8x5,7L pots (20x20x25)

(Got a LowRyder #1 in there aswell, but it's in week 4, aint really that interesting as it's a Fem/AF)

My first few days with my box, didn't have much to do with it.
Was putting up some foil and getting some vent holes.
Aswell had a 400w HPS that a friend of mine lent me. Couldn't keep it though, because of the heat.

after a couple of weeks, i got my payment, did a big order and got it delivered!

Put up all the new shit besides the hps.

HPS Wired and plugged in!

Using the 250w CFL in a separate chamber for clones and early vegetives.

good start on the set up !
things look a little wet tho.
some people use a 30 30 30 mix for the "soil" 1/3 perlite 1/3 vermiculite 1/3 substrate
(like 4M or a good nursrey soil with no fertilizer added)
some people also add earthworm castings,and a manure/compost type material in moderation.

Thanks for the tips.

Been noticing exactly that lately when the soil of the LowRyder isn't really drying out.
Had to buy some cheap, regular flower soil at the local supermarket in lack of money and time.
Awaiting some growth for the next time their getting a pot-upgrade.

besides new ventilation, better soil is getting highest prio.

yep, get your soil right
let them dry out till you get it... youll be fine
i should also add, you will have better luck with containers wh holes in the bottom
when its time to water, sit them in it (the water). watering from the top can fuck you sometimes

Whats Up Chief!? like the setup..let me know if I can help ya with anything..you will always learn for the next one..but forums will help alot..as far as watering..especially in the seedling/young plant stage..I like to water only when necessary..if you let your soil get about 85% dry between watering it will encourage good root growth..as far as soi..l deadpup was right on the money..i love perlite..it will really help with root growth and keeping your soil from getting so compact..I look forward to see your VK!

Not much to add besides it's a bit hot and dry in my box.
Waiting for a humidifyer, using a soaked towel in front of a fan meanwhile.

have a big problem with the heat.
around 31-34 degrees celcius, got no idea what i can do to lower it.

got 2x80mm + 1x120mm inline fans with a 180m3 outline fans with cooltube.. im out of ideas!

Uhm.. Right.
So, it's been a while since i made an update, and i apologize for that.
Been working my ass off during summer and internet haven't really been an priority for me.
Anyway.

Shitloads have happened. I don't really know where to start.
Lets take it strain by strain.

The LowRyder got cut. Gave about 5 grams of nice weed. Not the best perhaps, but it tasted wonderfull to the low-standard hasch we got in my town. I tried two more LowRyders, but realized its too much work for the little reward they give.

The Vanilla Kush grew big. One of them got pretty f*cked up - Grow-wise - while i took a klone form each remaining to check the gender of the plants. Both of the remaining ones where females. As i realized after ive taken the clones that the time for everything going, to get done, i threw in the mothers aswell in the flower room.

The Nepal landrace was somewhat strange. strange phenos, slow growed and pretty much totally wierd. I started to bloom all three of them, which of one i LST'd with good results. Problem was that lots of fanleaves died on that one because of over-fertilization and slowly the whole plant died. the second got cut because i ran out of patience and room. The third one is still standing, just to let me see the whole life cycle of the strain.
The friend i got it from told me that it will start turning purple in the end, which it now have, so slowly the dark-purple color will invade the whole plant and it will look awesome!

The Northern Light got added. Got it from a friend who's a grower aswell. Got two seeds, which off i planted one directly under 12/12 of light. happily it turned out to be female and all looks good.

p.s. Descriptions in days indicates from when they started to flower unless something else is written

p.p.s. Clone 1 is from mother 1, and clone two from mother two.

Had some major problems the last two weeks, was afraid of a nut-burn, but after some research and testing it showed that my tap-water's pH have gone sky-high (*giggle*) during the summer - +8.5 - so hopefully i discovered this before the rest of the plants got any major damage from it.

Flushed. counting on harvest in 1-3 weeks time.

As I see the clones still produce new and fresh pistills, can i expect the buds to grow anything more? Or will the size remain as it is?

So this is how the buds on it looks. What i wonder though, is if i can expect the buds to get somewhat fatter? Since all buds looks like this, it would be kinda wierd to have 50-10 buds with this look.
Anyhow, The crystallization have greatly increased these last few weeks, so i don't doubt it will be potent.

picture from last week when i first saw the purple color, it has increased and spread pretty much, but only to the tops of some budnodes and a few more leaves.

So, was about too sit down with my babies, talk to them, soothe them, well, just give them some extra care.
Anyhow, started picking some dead leaves between the buds that had dried out and thy horrific moment got my heart to jump a beat.

The inside of the plant was full with rotten buds, and some first-stage fungus evolution..
Cut it down and started to see if there was hope.
Im still not sure, got some buds that looked healthy and smelled good. Drying them and time will tell...

shoooooooo, be real careful man. That's rowdy, sorry to hear that man. You might consider ditching buds and making ISO hash from it all, certainly playing it safe. Good luck.

Well, first i was a bit stupid to have both clones in the far end of the box, which didn't have as much air-circulation.
And I assume I should had checked it earlier. did a nutrient-flush a couple of weeks ago with all plants, and i showered the plant itself as well. I didn't think about getting the inside dry then.

I feel you my man. Nor even 2 weeks ago i lost one SSH main cola in just 12hrs of darkness.
Almost brings a tear to a grown man eye, innit?!
Bring on the ISO and keep an eye on the other girls.
