Hi Grownam420,

Just sewing thread but dental floss would do.. anything small enough to tie round the pot corners. ones you have a nice woody structure there's no need to tie down, just regular trims.

Nice thread man,

I'm sure you could knock up a small cold-frame of sorts or something small to keep them outside, I'm not sure how you would keep them in veg without some kind of supplemental lighting though?

I had good success getting tiny clones to root both in rockwool cubes in a prop or in a takeaway tub made black with electrical tape with water in.

P.S sorry it's not letting me give you anymore rep atm/

Hey mitch, glad you like the thread.. I will attempt it maybe bring them in at night round the tv.. Once the loft is sorted with flooring and a pull down ladder or power to the out house I might look into building a stealthy cab just to keep a good few stains. But at the moment i've nothing worth keeping.. If I can get my old c99 back i'd make the time. Thankfully I found your theads and think auto's are the way forward for me. I don't smoke very often any more... Not sure how i'll be with a jar o nugz but i'm hoping I won't slip back into old habits and caine the lot in a month. The plan is to make my harvest last the year.. Just a couple of checky j's or a bowl or two every two weeks. All those seeds popped btw.. The big one only just today.
Time now for of well deserved ps3 time. Catch you later.

Big Eggy: Some good ideas. I want to keep mother over winter. Thank you!

Mitch Connor: I think putting these outside would make them grow faster than low wattage CFL's

Thanks Kushed.. The problem I face over wintering outside apart from needing to supply additional light for maybe 8 hours a day in the middle of winter I would also have to factor in hard frosts. Being outdoors only I would only need to keep a mother alive as I wouldn't need cuttings. However I think it would be less effort to build a small box as i'd only have to water them. Do you live in a warmer climate than the Uk?

I live in Sutter Co. California, which is in the Sacramento Valley. Today it will be 93 degrees, which is average for this time of year. We get several days above 100. In the winter, we get several mornings in the winter at or below freezing, with a couple of hard freezes.

have been camping in the forest along route 80 a few years back driving back to SF from Lake Tahoe..

Do you know Auburn? It really reminded me of the English countryside.
