Increasing yields attempts

Now running my 6th round indoor. Still learning. I found this community where I believe I am free to ask questions about increasing yield factors.

We all know so much can be said about increasing yields and what one might need to get it. But I like to limit this thread to one particular subject. To the effect of moving the lamp vertically during the day up/down/up. Would this technique increase the area effectivilly lit?

I set up a plan for a future round shown below.

Day would start with the upper lamp. after 3 hours the lower lamp will start burning and the upper lamp is turned off. Then the lower lamp will shine for 6 hours before the upper lamp is turned on again. Night follows and the cycle repeats during flower.

Maybe I could get 50% more area to fill for my 250 watt bulb :D

Any expert here could answer my question? Maybe he could get into detail about how much time one leaf could have maximum lumen before getting minimum for about 6 hours, then again 3 hours max lumen.

Could I swtich the lamp every 30 minutes, maybe every hour or could it be done with an inteval of only 1 minute?

:wave:

6 hours per light should be sufficient..... I believe I saw some threads around here that was similar to what you suggests...

check out my last stadium thread in my sig... 6hs per a light. Don't flip them back and forth multiple times. That's just stressful for the plants, having to readjust themselves to the light...

@MG75

No just one extra lamp and VSA (or what its called in english). The 2 way relay I use now would be enough for a 2way-flipflop system. 2 bulbs

Maybe I have to buy a new relay to make sure one light is burning 100% before the other is turned off. I don't know that yet. But it seems likelly the reaction speeds of the plants is to slow to notice a few seconds of darkness.

@Bobblehead
Ive been watching your topic. Thanks for that info. It seems that I can increase my yield through this idea without extra power consumption!

Later brothers!

see Marlo's Yo Yo setup.

vertical light mover.

Thus 1 light and plants get "fresh light" every other minute all day long!
