Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem? I love lurkn on here and it's so slow it's not even funny. There could be another thread on this topic but I cant even search, let alone type. fwiw it's an iPad 1, 64 gig.

Now they have prepaid wireless, which is pretty cool. have not used it myself. I wonder if it is the same as a prepay phone.

The issue isn't the iPad - this site loads slow for a myriad of reasons having absolutely nothing to do with Apple Computer, Microsoft, Android, et al.

My "spendy gizmo" works fine on other forums, it's only on icmag that it is slow. At first, I too thought these newfangled-futuristic-space-boxes were a waste of money but it turns out it suits my computing needs just fine. It goes online, emails, plays media and does all this everywhere I have AT&T coverage.

Have you guys ever used an iPad for any extended amount of time? Longer than a few minutes at best buy I mean. What is great about "normal computers" anyways?

I haven't even held one in my hands... BUT! I have bothered to read all of the reports I can find on them. idk for sure , could it be that normal computers work normally? ICMag is blazingly fast for me. aside from some sort of cheap superior feeling it might give you I see zero benefit of owning an ipad.

EDIT: btw, I did a lot of research before buying my Kindle.

buying an ipad seems to me like you're buying a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces already gone into perpetuity. they'll always be an app you feel compelled to buy lest your life and social status be destined to suffer of the mundane. looking over all of the pertinent apps you need to buy to feel or actually be complete come with the standard software of every computer I've ever bought, that and many thousands of apps you buy can be found free online.......

or maybe I just don't get it, just sayin'

stoner4life: sounds like you might be a little bitter you wasted your money on a kindle... I would be...

Anywho, good to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this bug, hopefully the powers-that-be are aware of this issue and a fix is underway, dare I say an app? :D
