What's new

Oh Montana...Say It Isn't So!

We retained a top notch attorney and will argue for injunction of 423 immediatley. We will also go to court to have it ruled that In this matter State Sovereignty takes precedence over Federal intervention. This has huge implications in every Med state or wannabe. We will also get signatures (100k!) needed on the next ballot. Many outside attys are consulting, Gov Gregoire in WA State is, ASA is, NORML, this is the BIG ONE. Everyone(countrywide) says if we lose here, MMJ is over. I guess thats Big..

In 4 days we raised enuf to go to the State Supreme Court to get an injunction much to the great annoyance of the Nazi's that put this in place. They love money and love using it to influence politics. It MUST be for their particular cause of course.
Next up to get 100k signatures in one month.

Nice work man. Wish you all the best in fighting the klepocrats. MMJ is a form of the proletariat rising and they, including Obummer, will do everything to squash it. Obama is the king of double speak. Orwell would be very proud of him.

Thanks for the support Gramps Things are turning quickly and nicely at least for the moment. Sec of State said we only need 35-40 k signatures not 100k to shut the law down, Whoo hoo, that is doable. Our bi gun mouthpiece filed the first shot today in court to stop one facet of the law- no advertising, signage or any thing related. The cracker morons who put this law together don't have a clue about Constitutionality. They are now about to get schooled..

typical cowardly traitorous politicians just do what big lobbyists tell them to. big pharma doesn't want cannabis to be there for people to self medicate as it will probably take more then half their profits away if you let people use cannabis instead of what ever meds they are on. in many cases the cannabis will help more then the crap industrial poisons they call medicine. modern pharma is not about curing people or god forbid preventing sickness in the first place. no, it's about treating people endlessly with the most expensive treatments and medicine possible but ideally never really healing them.

Well, Its Game On this very minute. Judge Reynolds is hearing the case to put the injunction on 423. Today (20th) is for the Plaintiffs, tomorrow the Assholes. Don't know how long for a decision, but guessing quite fast as the law is in effect in 11 days. Everything crossed that can be crossed

tomorrow (June 30) should be the day The Judge Decides, if not Abides.. Should he put the so called law on hold, that will be a godsend to dispensaries. But we are ready to hit it Big Time gathering petitions to overthrow the Monster no matte what. Here we go

First off I'd like to express my disappointment but not surprise at these of events in Montana. It's a real shame people are still trying to move backwards, do politicians REALLY have nothing better to do than to FUCK WITH SICK PEOPLE? Humanity... overall what a sad species we are. America would listen to a bunch of shrieking monkeys if they were elected to a certain party in a certain position.

Secondly, I really don't think it's necessary to stigmatized opioids such as some of you people in this thread are doing. Contrary to your beliefs, cannabis is NOT more effective than opioids, and opioids are NOT as toxic as some seem to believe. The one and only medically relevant hindrance to taking opioids is the tolerance and withdrawals effects, which are kept in place with a proper dosing schedule.

I feel I needed to say this not to prove anyone wrong, but I think it's important to be informed. Almost all severe chronic pain patients need an opioids of some sort to even get out of the bed and get through the day. So their is no need to hate on the most effective class of painkiller, which frankly, WE WOULD BE FUCKED WITHOUT! (speaking from experience)

Lastly, I don't mean to make it sound as if cannabis isn't medically effective. It is an awesome medication as we all know. But really the only pain relief many of us ever get is the mental stress relief of THC. Though I don't doubt for a percentage of people it works even better and actually takes away physical pain.

And of course cannabis deserves to be smoked by all, not just the physically sick but people who benefit from it's awesome anti-depression effects as well. All anyone ever really need do is go over to granny storm crow's list and find out for themselves what a great medicine it can be for many people.

The ruling came back with a pretty good outcome. Most of the hideous shit is enjoined, including no money for services, no patient limit, no ban on advertising. We still need to get rid of the whole wretched mess killed with the petition drive. One really fucked side note is a dispensary is being raided right now--just like the when the law was debated in the legislature this raid is coinciding perfectly with the ruling. This pertains to everyone in a Med State. The Obama Feds are seriously ramping up the Terrorism to try obviously to keep the Golden Goose of Repression alive. Fucking assholes.

Well at long last petitions are out. I need to get in contact w/dist. captain and start collecting.

Took a little ballage for sure but I love this one. The LAW stated that all MMJ MUST be turned into LAW ENFORCEMENT by June 30. Or else.. Someone abided by the law and it made news in Missoula. :sasmokin:

Marijuana
Up in smoke
by Matthew Frank

Over the weekend, someone dumped about 10 marijuana plants in the parking lot of Missoula's drug task force office. Police Chief Mark Muir says the plants were stripped clean of any useable marijuana—"just some useless stems in pots."

Missoula has 680 cannabis caregivers—and Muir says none of them turned over a single bud to law enforcement before July 1, when some parts of a new, more restrictive medical marijuana law took effect, wiping out caregivers' legal protection. "Apparently it all went up in smoke," Muir quips. :moon:

A bit of an update- haven't been around in a while

We have 14,000 as of a week ago, have until the end of sept. I think we need about 10,000 more to get a vote on the 2012 ballot to do away with the repeal and about 40,000 to repeal it without the ballot. We'd better get the needed to get on the ballot, no excuse. I'm going out to area street event today, hit some bars (good places to get signatures :)) and be working the country fair next week. Lotta caregivers and others half steppin on getting what should be WAY more sigs. especially since there are 33,000 patients here.

As more state legislatures become more and more conservative they will make it harder and harder to use MMJ. The people of Montana voted for MMJ so the Pols couldn't re criminalize it so they just make it darn near impossible to get or use.
As we go into another election cycle, it may behoove everyone to see what and who is running their state and vote accordingly. I realize there are folks who for some totally unknown reason will and do, vote against their own best interests. Go figure.

Looks like there are enuf to get on the ballot, more needed to offset the one's that are or will be judged invalid. :good: Unfortunately very unlikely we'll get the numbers needed to throw out the law right now. Been a lot of hard work by many. Way too many that are directly affected have done nothing. One of the negatives of human nature I guess...
