Light Leaks during 18/6?

Can light leaks hermi plants, or cause damaging stress in vegetative growth under an 18/6 cycle?

how long did the light exposure occur for?
If a plant or genetic is pre-disposed to Hermaphroditic tendencies then it's possible to see some negative changes in your plants.......for example a pure haze would be easly stressed by a light leak and show intersexed flowers or in your case stamen....
otherwise your plants will be fine, just resume your normal schedule and fix the leak A.S.A.P

Not sure exactly its a buddys room, hes had minor light leaks going for at least 2 months, hasnt flowered yet. Even turns the incandescent room light on for a minute or two during the dark period sometimes when he need to get something out of the adjacent room. LoL.
The plants havent showed any hermi traits as far as Im aware, but Im just wondering..
The strain is Paradise's Nebula, I know they have a reputation for solid genetics so I think that might be while they are holding up.

I dont think for the moment your buddy's in any trouble but make sure that room is tight before he flowers or he'll be in for some suprise's when he flips them ...to say the least

Yea no doubt. He is just waiting to build a flowering and a different, light tight veg room at the moment.

imo i do not think light leak during 18 / 6 will hurt it at all

some people keep their light on 24

I think its just the 12/12 stage is when you have to worry about light leak

im not saying im right , just my opinion

yea i think he is good. i always throw the light on in veg if i need something, have never had a plant hermie(knock on wood). i know i am going to regret saying that, oh well.

I go in and out of my veg room three-four times/day. It doesn't matter during veg.

This question got me wondering also as ive never given the dark phase of 18/6 any consideration whatsoever.

Im pretty sure its only 12/12 u need to worry about. Ive never had any probs with light leaks in the veg phase.

Nah man you can do 20/4 or 24/0 in veg so having extra light during the dark period of 18/6 shouldn't hurt anything.

Seal it up nice during flower though. You def don't want extra light sneaking in during 12/12

In 5 grows total I've never had a hermie and I work on my veg plants only when lights off pretty much. I use PLL'Ls in my veg cab and they're so damn harsh on the eyes even with UV shades I just open it when lights are out - not a single hermi in 5 grows.

Flowering of course is a completely diff story.

he is right.. during veg it doesn't matter.. as long as it doesn't happen day after day after day.. for like 2 weeks your good.
