As we all know PGnE are installing smart meters everywhere here in California.
Now I don't condone stealing power but as we all know most cartels or bigger ops bypass the meters. My friend whose a commercial electrician of 20+ years just told me that they aren't going to be able to bypass the new smart meters because if it's disconnected or there's an interference In the line then it would notify PGnE and could def cause some problems for the person boosting power.
My thinking was that if This is indeed true then the cost to manufacture goods is going to go through the roof for anyone doing indoor and currently boosting power. The additional cost is sure to drive the prices up. Am I wrong or am I onto something?
