Brewing Tea with RO Water?

If I'm brewing various AACT with RO water, do I need to supplement any CalMag or extra molasses (since molasses has the same trace, more or less). Or amend extra lime to the soil? I've tried to search for this around, but can't find it directly. I might just trade in the RO for a Tall Boy if its too much of a hassle. RO is so wasteful anyway...

Because I have softened tap water I use RO for all my plants in LC's #1 without issue. I also brew teas with it using standard (if there is such a thing) ratios. There is some gypsum (not part of LC's #1) in my current mix. I don't know....the gypsum might help with calcium and sulfur.

I brew all my teas with RO water, I do use molasses but that's more for helping microorganisms with their breeding. Never added calmag or anything like that.

Have never had any problems personally.

Same as above..Had to use RO for all teas up to this point..

between the dolo lime in soil mix, molasses, et al, I've never had to add calmag.

do you have lime in your soil?

ACT needs no cal/mag I'm aware of for the microbes to breed. I'm sure there is traces of cal/mag with whatever your using to breed the guys.

also there is many other ways of getting cal/mag then through your city water, as you said, lime, molasses if it's your thing, and many many products contain Cal, and some Mag

don't go messing with the osmotic equilibrium in your teas.

use the R/O water like normal water.

to culture a sample for microscope study, I use distilled.

Cool, yea I figured between the lime added to the soil, molasses, and the trace elements in EWC, I should be good. However, I still think RO is wasteful and fills my drums up super slow. Gonna trade it in for a Tall Boy very soon...
