I am moving out of my house soon and was using my roommates skillet setup so now it is time to get one of my own. I was wondering which one people suggest? there seem to be so many out there. I was also wondering if anyone had a clue as to where to get a skillet tool like the one pictured here. I placed a penny next to it for size reference. The original tool was purchased at a now closed dispensary.

Thanks in advance

ya i get it. i am HMK. i came up with the idea of the oil curve with titanium pad, but some geek who went wholesale online with a copy of it calls it a skillet.

In the world of concentrates #1 is the Hashmasta-Kut curve.

It's a brand thats enjoyed world wide, but very hard to acquire.

I've tried.

You can check aqualab.

Skillet , swing , curve are basically the same thing.

I tried the health stone, but I have a thing about blasting a torch right in the bowl I'm hitting.

And for that reason I wont buy one.

Every time I go to aqualab its empty.

I was looking for one of the units with the feet. not an attachment for a bong..

ah so you dont just heat up the stone and then draw? you have to keep the flame on it? lame...
I guess I will keep checking for a HMK

skillets are old school the new things are glass buddercups from colorado made for an pipe called an oil rig

Those buddercups are dope - I just saw one up in Aspen - some oil gets too splattery IMO for em tho.

That Health Stone thing is cool (haha - thought it was called a 'Hell Stone') - just tried that this week - you don't have to keep torching it, but you have to torch it for every rip. The up-side is that you don't have an extremely hot object being passed around by a bunch of people who have just been smoking oil - might save a few bucks on burn cream.

The classic HMK piece never fails to do the job, of course, but depending on your oil (and how much you dab at a time), can get messy as opposed to enclosed pieces.

Also, that tool posted on top looks like the things they had at Greenest Green in Boulder - I think they said they were dental tools of some sort...

the largest dab ever taken to date a gram clean was done on a ti pad, domes are nothing new, and an oil rig is any pipe dedicated for oiling.

http://www.harborfreight.com/6-piece-stainless-steel-carving-set-34152.html

That tool is one from my woodcarving set, got it @ Harbor Freight tools.

Heres the set, you'll get one damn near exactly like the one you posted. I personally like the third one, the end on the top (it's kind of a small rounded tip, hard to see in the photo) is perfect for doing dabs and holds a good amount, while not wasting too much. The one you want is the 5th one, I like it for scraping/transferring oils, not so much for dabs (theres always a large amount wasted with a bigger dabber like that IMHO).. For 5.99 you get 6 different stainless dabbers, how could you go wrong? :tiphat:

A tip: I notice that dabber is nasty as hell, thats gotta be affecting the flavor. Try having something like a napkin. rag, something to wipe off the excess after doing a dab, while the dabber is still warm. Mine look pretty similar to this picture, except for where the steel has blued from heating it repeatedly, but nice and clean. Don't want nothing screwing up the flavor!

As far as vaping oil, nothing beats titanium, NOTHING. I've tried quartz, glass, and other metals, nothing beats the flavor of a good seasoned piece of Ti IMHO.

Try it, especially with more flavorful oils. You can taste WAY more of the flavor on the Ti.
