Making Your Own Yucca Extract?

We have a variety of local plants in the yucca family. The pictures posted were of Joshua tree, part of the family. I prefer the tree, though I find similar properties in it all. Can't say for the Asian variety. Soak it and if it suds like soap, it's got the shit.
I prefer aged, termite infested stuff. Dead, the hard bark holds in water and the stringy heart wicks up moisture while the sapponins are slow to break down. creating lots of activity.

Also, you can eat the flowers and fruit of yucca, and grind the seeds into a flour. I don't remember exactly what yucca species it is, but here in WA we have some growing, mostly as ornamental landscaping.

so how is yuca pronounced, as opposed to yucca?

given that there is no doubling of consonants in spanish, and all vowels are always pure. (as in german "Blut" or "tut", as opposed to "Bunt" or "muss").
