At 40 needed glasses, 42 came heart attack which led to double bypass, now at 52 routine chest x-ray showed something on right lung, now after ct scan Dr. wants to do a lung biopsy. Gettin older sucks.

ya man getting old is a motherfucker.

top 8 signs I'm getting older:

I get winded putting on my socks
Flecks of gray starting to appear in my hairpiece
Recently broke my hip opening a can of Beefaroni
Movie producer told me, "If anything happens to Matthau, you're our next Grumpy Old Man"
I look as bad as my accountant
The old coot in aisle three screamin' about the price of paper towels? That's me
Right now, I'm sitting at a Craftmatic adjustable desk
At least once a day, I trip and fall and end up with my cane up my ass

Them cloudy x-rays suck. One of those showed up on my liver, from 1 cm to 13 cm in three months.

I thanked my doctor very much, but, no, I will not be getting a biopsy nor any invasive procedures whatsoever. I find my own meds.

Age doesn't stop for anybody, but I'll be damned if I will show that I care.

Hope you get good news on your biopsy. My brother (71) had a similar problem but in the end it was a calcified piece of asbestos from working around construction all his life.Doc told him at this stage it shouldn,t bother him.I know several ppl.with same problem as my brother and all of them are doing fine.Seems in Canada that Docs don,t take this mesotheleoma too serious esp when it,s at an older age and has calcified. My brother:comfort: is 10 yrs older than me and in way better shape.I,m 61,with HepC and liver cirrhosis, full of arthritis,Viagra only hurts, hooked on Morphine prescription for pat 14 yrs. Can,t get a grow liscense?really.
More bad days then good,My Canada Pension is $577.28 a month.
But hey,when I get high I,m a happy camper.....The golden yrs....lol
We,ll get by somehow someway.........
good luck to all us old farts.

I never get where these people like Oprah who say life "begins at 40" get that. TOTALLY not true, for the vast majority of people. I guess if you were a millionaire bitch, cocksucker (literally), that might be true. I think she's a huge, money hungry, racist bitch. Not at all what everybody seems to think. IMHO anyway.

the thing about saying something, the mind makes it real.

pretty young to be complaining, you sure are going to be bitching something fierce when you are 90 lol

try to be young at heart, its not only more fun, but also healthier and you last longer.

Hey Smoker, I've gone through a few biopsies and it's scary stuff for sure. I always start reliving my past each time. Positive thinking and chanting or praying, help send spiritual vibes through out your body to tell all cells to take care of business in a healing way.

At least a biopsy means they don't know for sure. It's just routine. Keep your Courage up bro.

Much Love,

I´m +50 and this would be a good age if it wasn´t for all kinds of aches and pains -osteoathritis being my main complaint.

Just waiting for the kids to grow up so I can get my pension and start my day with a sixpack, some mescaline and a joint laced with heroin...

Went yesterday morning for biopsy, get hospital gown on, IV started, nurse explains procedure, which makes me very nervous (local freezing, then big ass needle thru the back or chest to get sample) told I can't move while its being done. After an hour wait nurse comes back and says after talk with doctor they can't do it that way because its behind shoulder under bone. WTF, they couldn't see that before? Now I have to wait and see whats next. Probably open biopsy.

Totally blows.

Im 43. 5 years ago I was playing music in 3 different bands, out almost every night of the week, and could hike, bike ride, etc all day long with no issue.

Today, staying up past 830 is "staying up late", I get winded walking up my basement steps, and I have given up lace up shows that require bending over to tie them for slip on shoes.

OP...heart attack at 42? I know its none of my business, but that is awfully young, was it due to bad genes or lifestyle?
