How do you get your product trimmed?

I was curious about hiring a company to trim my harvest. As someone that runs a dispensary, a company has approached us to trim our harvest for $200 per pound. Does this sound reasonable? Has anyone used trimming services before?
Thanks

I have never used a trimming service before so I wouldn’t know, but I have had friends that have rented a trimmer for $500 a day if you have multiple pounds you might want to look into something like that were you can rent it out for a fixed price instead of paying by the pound

I always trim mine with my gro-bro and myself, but I don't have a dispensary or I would be REOTCH BEOTCH!

lol I didn't even know their were "trim" companies..heheh "Trim for less", or "WallTrim".

Only person I know of that "hired" trimmers is a couple of huge outdoor growers here in N. Cali. They just have huge trim parties for a week or two after harvey, they always complained about "shrinkage" just like a retail store does...guess a bit of budd always doesn't make it into the pile, good luck I have no idea what they paid their trimmers.

That's about what most trimmers are paid, $200 a pound or an oz of dried bud per # trimmed. I only have mine buck plants to feed the trimming machine, so I pay them $20-30 an hour depending on their skill. Slow/drunk/stoned trimmers that can't keep up get paid very little in my house, but they get fed well and are always compensated fairly.

A $500 used Trim Reaper was the best investment I ever made. It does QP's of popcorn buds in 3 minutes flat. Large buds still need to be hand trimmed, but 90% of most strains can go straight into the machine and done very quickly.

Get a trim pro rotor- without a doubt the best 'weed' investment i have made- including seeds, clones, lights etc.

If you hire them watch them like hawks or they might be trimming too loose leaving your buds looking like leafy bs or they might be hacking away your calyxes or worst of all they might be pocketing shit. That being said, I spent some time with my fams and a few friends in the Bay and around Shasta and I saw a small company (<10 people) who were taking outdoor from around Shasta and making it look like indoor. No doubt they lost a lot of weight like that but they were processing all trim for qwiso and I am sure they were getting way more per # for it. I think they were charging a flat rate per day of work per trimmer and the farmer was cutting down and bucking the plants as they were finishing the earlier plants so they were always trimming freshly cut bud. Days were 12-14 hrs with the farmer providing all the food and copious amounts of smoke for after knock off time. I never did find out how much they were getting paid but I am sure they were being paid well considering the insane job they were doing and the resulting increase in price and move-ability of the bud.

people will steal, machines work like theyre supose to.

i would never invite random people into my garden, especially a Co. that specializes in trimming massive quantities of cannabis, smells funky to me. At the most i would rent a trimming machine probably one of the ones with a rotating drum not the big fan blade that whips it in a mini tornado.

me and my close friend trim how ever many # we have to,we can go thru about 4# in 6-8hrs of finely trimmed product with minimal loss in good smokable product.
