MOST PEOPLE THINK YOU NEED A BIG ROOM TO PRODUCE A LARGE AMOUNT OF BUD,BUT YOU CAN DO JUST FINE IN SMALL PLACE,YES BIGGER IS BETTER BUT BIGGER MEANS YOU NEED MORE LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE.....

ONE 1000 HPS IN A 4'/4' AREA CAN KEEP US
SMOKIN TIL THE NEXT CYCLE JUST FINE,A AEROPONIC 10" PVC SYSTEM WITH 5" NET POT WITH 20 2' PLANTS FILL THE 4/4 SPACE WALL TO WALL AND IT YEILDS 2 TO 2 1/2 LBS EVERYTIME,THAT ENOUGH TO SUPPLY 4 PEOPLE THERE MEDICAL MARIJURNA

THIS IS JUST MY OPION JUST WONDERING WHAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS ABOUT THE TOPIC,WHEN I SEE PICTURES OF PEOPLE GARDENS AND THEY HAVE ONE LIGHT IN A 10'/10' ROOM THEY DONT REALIZE HOE MUCH OF THE RAYS FROM THE LIGHT ARE BEING WASTED LIGHTING UP THE REST OF THE ROOM YOUR NOT GROWING IN,YOUR YIELD WILL BE MUCH BETTER IF YOU BLOCK OFF THE GROWING AREA BEING USED TO HOLD THE RAYS FROM THE LIGHT IN THE GROWING AREA ON THE PLANTS AND NOT WASTING IT ON LIGHTING THE HOLE ROOM UP WHERE THERE ISNT ANY PLANTS "RULE OF THUMB" ONE 1000 WATT PER 4'/4' AREA WILL HAVE GREAT RESULTS!!!

Alot of us here grow in closets and the biggersized tent with 50=watts a sq ft.,At the moment I'm running 1700 w hps in a 24 sq foot closet.Its no micro grow by any means but it works.I'm hoping to pull 2+Lbs.

I don't see many peeps here with a 1k in 10x10 rooms.,most responses from seasoned indoor growers is enviorment first.
But i do agree small spaces can yeild ALOT(yes I am yelling),but the enviorment and love is key.Ive posted this pic a hundred times but this 1 plant beauty came out of 3 sq feet under a 400 hps.
I guees the point I'm trying to make is enviorment first for massive yeilds and quality product out of a small space

sry to bust the OP's bubble, but a single 1000w in a 10 X 10 will yield a lot more then a 4 X 4. just because the light is farther away does not mean it is not usable....

burst my bubble lol seriously for one thing i didnt say anything about a 10/10 area wont produce more bud than a 4/4 area, how did you come up with that lol,i should hope you would yeild more out of a area more than double the size but with only the one light covering the larger space the bud size would be night and day difference,and there is alot of people using one 1000w to cover a larger space than a 4'/4' area,and my opion is that one 1000w will cover 4'/4' area an any larger space could use mre light,in the grow catalogs it says a 1000w will cover a 8'/8' area and someone that doesnt have any growing experiance wouldnt know any better,so i was just putting my opion out there, wasnt yelling at anybody,but alot of people i know and have talked with that grow think you need a big room to really produce any amount of bud,and i thought 2 1/2 pounds was pretty respectful for a 4'/4' area but i guess i really dont know a whole lot

A lot of light is required before it becomes too much, OTOH the plant will still function on an amazingly small amount of light before becoming nonfunctional.

My bud room is a mylar circle six feet across with 7 x 400 watts.
I did not read the catalog, just looked at the pictures.Ended up in a similar place anyway.
My ventilation is set up to recirculate through the house, electric heat isn't cheap but at -40 none of it goes to waste. Come spring and the heat is rerouted and end of May everything goes outside until end of July. Have a darkshed out back for budding, and with up to 21 hours a day of sunlight the veggies love it all day and all of the night.:kitty:

Just rambling now, I wanted to post more than "Yeah, I do 90 watts a square foot myself, great, huh?"
