Vape Love/Hate ***Warning***

Recently lots of vape buzz, so much i decided to buy one.

I opted for the cheaper Extreme Qv4

As the thread states i love it.

took a few days to get it right but i got it dialed in.

Thinking maybe the Volcano is better but i'm still happy because it does a few things a volcano can't do.

now the meat of the post.

Why i hate it!!!

because it has taken all pleasure out of smokin a nice Phatt J

i'm not being a snob, but i'm sayin for real, it ruins the smoking experience all together.

the smokey taste of combustion is overwhelming and no cannabis flavour comes through at all.

Seriously gutted and i know soon i will put the vape away lucky i am home most on the time and use cannabutter when im not but i am not at all happy with this reaction to combustion.

This was mentioned in the threads and i just thought they were being pot snobs, but it really put me off smokin and now i wish i would have stuck with the smoke.


Food for thought especially those who toke outdoors alot.

May I suggest a Magic Fligh Launch Box for the great outdoors. I bought my extreme, then a week later, bought the mflb. I love NEVER combusting

I got one recently, no flame, stealth, odor free, the taste really comes through.

Vapes are pretty sick, but in my experience, I just cant get the full spectrum of stone from some types of weed with my extreme q. I use it on 200-210 c but some strains just gotta be smoked! I am more interested in stone than flavor if i had to make snap decision.
And a vape is a great way to turn overfed nute burned garbage into something useful lol. Definately a love/hate.

Anybody figured out a good way to smoke oil out of their extreme? I can't get a cotton ball to work lol

Vapes may be cleaner,and i have the arizer Q myself,but a vape hit is NOT as good as a bong hit,and always seems like there is something missing from the high...DISCUSS

Best way to go is using the Herbalaire direct to bong, no whip. By far the best tasting hit you will ever get! I rarely ever smoke, been vaping forever. Smoking is way less clean, and makes me extremely tired and worthless. Dont be mad, be happy that you finally converted to vaping!!!

I totally agree. I took an o-ring off of my bong slide and rolled it onto the whip mouthpiece of my EQ and voilà, vape bong hits. You just stick the glass mouthpiece with o-ring into bong and inhale as usual.

I've got a silver surfer hooked up to a Syn showerhead bong at the moment, smooth and tasty and doesn't give you a sore dry throat like straight vape does after a while. It works well through a small bubbler too.

I still enjoy a good smoke though.

This is why I recommend a test drive before purchase. People smoke for different reasons and have different expectations.

I smoke to get high. Period. I water cure because taste is meaningless and smell gets you busted. Vape takes nothing from the high, it's the stone that goes missing.

For those who prefer being stoned or place a premium on taste and smell, the vape may be a bad choice.

i hear ya', not impressed with the vapes i've tried, volcano and vapor brothers and some of the newer style handheld ones, they are fun and cool, but if i want to SMOKE i will 90% of the time use a little glass pipe. i do often feel there is something missing from the effect of the vape, i feel a joint doesn't quite do it all the way either, pipe is where it's at, for increased pleasure i do like to light it on a sunny day with a magnifying glass *yum*

I have been vaping for a very long time. The buzz can be different for sure, but if you have a good Vaporizer you can dial it to the buzz you prefer. If you like a more smoke like buzz, crank it up. If you like a clean, energetic high turn it down.

I have a ton of vapes, and can tell everyone here from tons of experience that the Herbalaire vaporizer is by far the best I have ever tried. The taste is FAR superior to smoking, and it is extremely efficient. To say vaporizer compromise taste and smell is just plain false.

The thing with vaporizing is that it is take awhile for some to "get" it. Once you get it and vaporize more than smoking....you will not enjoy smoking anymore. Smoking is extremely harsh compared to vaporizing. I always get tired after smoking, but not with vaping. To each is own, but I hardly ever smoke. I can see why people would not like vaporizing, especially since some are far superior than others....but if you have a nice vaporizer and a bong, you may just enjoy Vaporizing more than smoking!!!

Im a die hard smoker, no vapes for me. #1 joints, #2 bowls, # bubblers. Im anal about my glass being clean and Im pretty lazy this is why I prefer joints.

yep the vape ruined smoking for me too. I would rather go without than smoke. the taste is unbelievably great, the speedy electric high is a bonus. its possible to get a more smoke-like effect with high temps, if you want that.

some people prefer the more relaxed, narcotic high from smoking.

some people prefer their cucumbers pickled.

Everyone has a different definition of "compromise". To say vaping has no effect on either is untrue. This is why you should test drive first.

I bought my Q because I could not take smoking anymore,it was killing my lungs.I find it gets me higher than traditional smoking,but thats just my personal opinion.

The volcano high is just like you describe and that's why I love my Vripmaster with a makita hot air gun. I got to keep my bong and I get super gnarly hits. I have a volcano and my wife and friends are the only ones who use it.

It can be a little hard to adapt to the hot air gun but once you figure it out, it's not difficult at all.

Super milky hits out of a bong, no burned material and a great well-rounded high.

I feel for you. I noticed this as well. It's rare when I can taste something out of a joint after the first hit or two. Any dirty bowl, bong etc....pretty much taste likes combustion to me. Same for blunts.

I don't think I ever tasted strains as comprehensively before having my volcano. So I guess it's a blessing and a curse. I love my Volcano though.....It's what I use consistently and it's primarily for health and taste.
