I had some seeds from a m8 labelled cheery ak47, so he must have crossed the female to a purple looking male. I grew only 6 or so of them, and they did have a purple tint, but i didnt get a proper full on purple one, and i didnt find one that smelt of cheeries. I passed the seeds on to someone here who hopefully will grow them out and find anything decent, as i aint got the space. The smoke was allright, but the few females i had weren't keepers.

I am probably tripping, but doesn't the cherry refer to the colour the leafs go on flush as a posed to a flavor profile?

i had an AK about 7 years ago and she had Pink spots like in the buds and smelt very berry like... i assumed this was a cherry pheno AK47...

The phenos i had were more spooted purple/pink then out and out purple. Kind of multi colour to the buds. I assumed i had a half n half pheno.

the cherry ak47 pheno that I had and shared for many years came from the bako boys up in scotland and was passed around south by john goodman and a few lads up north....it did have pink/redish hues under a scope and was a killer smoke and was sweet like the smell from a cherry bakewell tart, ive run it for a few years...it was found out of 30-40 seeds from seroius seeds pre 2000, here is some old pics...I might even grab it again

Id imagine cramming them into a square tupperware box would make em all stick together like that. I've had the same happen but on a small scale.
