How to get bulging buds?

Good afternoon guys,
Just a quick newbie question.

A guy at the head shop was trying to sell me this stuff called bud buster. He said to use it for the last month of flower and it will dramatically increase the size of the buds.

I was wondering if anyone had any info on this?

The guy growing them currently has them in 5 gallon pails with just regular pro mix and feeds with Pure Blend Bloom.


Also I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a good thread that shows how to control the temps in a grow room (bedroom) Right now it is basically too cold in the room most of the time except when the lights are on. If anyone could give me some direction on that it would be amazing.

My advice NK, is to keep things simple, & to keep your wallet in your pocket. Remember, that more than 90% of the power of bulging buds is genetics, the rest is simple grow knowledge, & not too much nutes. I assume you already know that, but most of us are easily caught up with the over-saturated market of over-priced, over-hyped hydro crap.

Been there, done that, and went back to the beginning KISS method.

i take the shittiest pics with a 2000dolla cam set up i cant help ya.... i can tell ya this dont get a camera u cant work like i did...lol these dslrs are meant for professional photographers with experiance on how they work,,,not stoneres with money....

i got over 5000 worth of nikon and my best pics come from my fuji 100$ CAMERA. I NEED TO TAKE SOME LESSONS lol

Ok so three were hermy. He had two PPP and 1 bubba kush out of 6 go hermy. so he has 1 kush 1 PPP and 1 Lifesaver that are about 4 weeks into flower.

So should i throw the hermies out? And i am guessing I didnt pay close enough attention and could have caught this earlier than 4 weeks into flower? If so when can I tell?

Depends how bad they r hermying. If you just have a few tiny banannas u can just pluck em off w tweezers, just make sure the fan is off & ne'er have the fan blowing on a plant your worried is a hermy ever.
Also depends on how heady the plants look. If they look n smell super dank you wana take the effort to pluck those banannas.
A good simple recipe is pure blend pro with liquid karma, sweet & cannazyme added. Then also get canna pk13/14 to boost the pk a few weeks before harvest & you'll get fat nugs every time. Don't listen to people who tell you to barely use any nutes, you can lump em with that pure blend. Let me know if you want menti the you a good dose. We are trying to grow giant fat nugs, think of a bodybuilder, would whenever deprive himself of anythng? No, he eats extra shit all the time to pump himself up
Don't overdo it but that's why pure blend kicks ass, organic based nutes that really won't make your buds taste bad.
Water the shit out of em & feed them all the time & you'll pull some sick nugs.
Also it sounds like you got a pretty shitty batch of seeds. I blew 1500$ in Amsterdam buying seeds that were just awful, every single one sucked ass. I had bagseeds of diesel from some awesome real by diesel i bough in the city & they were all kick ass.

I would suggest to try your hardest to pull what u can from these but put some effort into finding some good bagseeds or hopefully clones from someone in your area.
I got incredible seeds by asking my boy in NYC to tell me when he saw a seeded bag. I bought an ounce of seeded NY diesel & there were like a hundred seeds that were all so awesome. Then i also bough an ounce of jack herer that was hit with pollen fromthe legendary hp13 clone & those were fkn awesome as hell too. Ask your friends to save their seeds & tell yu if they ever see seeded weed & go buy a sack of headies that's seeded. Trust me those seeds are WAY more likely to b headies than anything seedbanks r selling

most will have naners little yellow things all over if its a bad case. I just harvested some Orange bud even though I found 23 seeds caused by naners the smoke is great. If the genetics are decent and the Hermie issue is light let them grow. I had 13 females in flower with this plant and none of the other plants where seeded. If you can take some tweezers and pick off the naners hopefully you will only get a small amount of seeds. This is the plant that hermie. Sometimes finding them nanners is imposable. I check my Lady's well. These seeds where found in the middle of the buds.

patients and practise. That's how I learned. I have read many books and got the gist of what does what. Calibrating your white balance helps allot. F Stop is a big deal in how much light the camera sees. The larger your f stop the less light but better full frame focus makes it sharper. When Im taking Macros my f-stop is maxed at 26 with prime 60mm macro lens and led ring light. Your going to need a tripod at least I do. I have seen some great pics without the use of one.


This is not a cheep hobby. The lens is very important this is where the quality of the pics come out. The better lens you get the better the pics will be.

read the manual that came with it for starters
if that's not enough take a class somewhere
I'm sure Cannon offers something

When I bought my Nikon a class was included for free
not that I went but it was offered

experiment, I assume the T2i is digital
so you won't be paying for film or developing
have fun with it

No point in CO2 or bud booster or whatever until you get your environment correct. Do the basics - light, temperature and ventilation - before trying to tweak out the grow.

The most important factors in a garden is the environment. Control humidty, temperature (most importantly the swing between the max temp and the min, 7-10 degrees at most during night and day), ventilation and air movement. Get lots of air moving, this irritates certain insects and also makes it hard for pathogens such as powdery mildew to set in. Once you get all those nicely controlled then you can start playing with bud boosters, co2 etc.

Also I swear to god, my plants seem to really like listening to certain kinds of music. I play them Deep Forest and African jungle drum tracks. It's pretty sweet hanging out in there now.
