Chem D day 60.

Figured I'd keep banging this thread as long as I had some giant Sisters going.I tried to break my single plant record with this one in an 8gal pot of coco, I've cut out about 10oz already and it's barely dented. Was shooting for 25oz and I think I may beat it.I just love this plant, whoever found and kept this cut had great taste.:) My 4 D cuts are doing very well and in about 50 days I should have some shots of her to dress things up around here.......

This is a pic of the actual Chem D cut that I refer to as Ultimate Skunk 2 or just US2.I recieved a nice big fully grown mom awhile back and she had some of the regular abberations people discuss here as TMV like symptoms.I took 4 cuts from the mom and they took awhile to root but they've grown nicely and with 2tsp cal-mag/gal and 1 tsp of silicone supplement( advised by my chemical/plant genius nieghbor) they have grown with no signs of anything at all other than nice skunky plants.I know it's early to show in the Flower pix zone but here they are, I have 4 in flower about 2 weeks into 12/12...The original mom was flowered at another locale and she still shows some wierdness but she's about 40 days in and crankin'...

Chaco,
How come your refer to the Chem "D" as Ultimate Skunk 2?

When I rec'd the cut it was labeled "chem D", it turned out not to be the D but Chems Sister. In the interim and locally just to make it easy on pot people I call it Ultimate Skunk in ref to its rude garlicy skunk odor.To date it was the best skunk I'd ever seen. When I picked up the D cut I started calling the Sister US1 and the D, US2.People , mostly older folks don't need to hear me say Venezualen cut , "the one", X Brazilian Sativa.Anyway it was the unknown ID of the Sister cut that led me to re-name it, it's one of the small ways I entertain myself when my boat is in my yard and not on the water...:) I provide pot to lots of older crippled up fishermen and their "senior" friends, it's a great relationship and older people have trouble finding decent pot so I'll say Skunk 1, or Skunk 2??Sativa, afghani or hash? People over 50 love hash.

Everyone has the fond memories of the Afghani Hash days when most everything was dominated (on west coast) by the bulk tons of pressed Colombian that huge importer Bruce Perlowin was smuggling into the Bay area for years . (He's now got a company on the stock exchange now “Medical Marijuana, Inc.” or MJNA that trades 1mil shrs a day and tripled in price in just the last 3 wks !
http://bruceperlowin.com/bio.html )

But alot of Hash that came in thru Boston on the ec , made its way out west & the very welcomed "Thai Sticks" that were special .

We fondly referred to that columbian then as "Piss Weed" cause funny urban/stoner's legend at the time was the columbians pissed on the bricks to make them weigh more , hehe ....(but could have been true the way some of it tasted , yuk)

Talking little boat cruises learned just recently on the Prohibition Docu Film thread that back during Prohibition the Cruise Industry experienced a "Boom" when the chartered these Cruises to Nowhere & where the boats just went out in Intl waters & sailed around in circles ...they called em Booze Cruise aka “weekend whoopee cruises.” :biglaugh:

If it were only feasable to have a "Shangrila Medical MJ Cruise Charter " service , would be kind of fun idea actually ! Get high , medicate & do some whale watching :)

(well , too many peeps might get sea sick & the Coast Guard would be all over it )

Well Mike, ya' never really know.I did recieve a mother plant labeled D.So far so good though.Have no idea what the real one is like so here we go, although my "source" was impeccable.:) I'd like to add that the mom came with all the TMV-ish symptoms that are associated with this cut and the kind fellow who passed her to me said he would quit growing if my plants didn't show it.I believe we overcame these symptoms by adding 2tsp/cal-mag per gal and 1 tsp silicone/gal.I have yet to see these symptoms that were so obvious on the mom.I will of course not allow him to quit growing...it ain't over yet!!

They smell kind of grapey/skunky now and something else a bit different.Certainly seems like a very managable plant esp compared to what's growing around her...you can see them here in the foreground with some of my own plants behind her.The vert bulb is almost exclusively for the backside of the D's and the mid sections of the other plants.I'm happy to hear from anybody that grows the D about any experience they have and what the best way to grow her might be....as well as any pics one might have of her eccentricities...

Great thread, Ive recently acquired the Chem D cut myself. Im usually a seed guy, but seen some great grows of this old girl so I figured Id give her a run. I have some Chem sis x Chem D seeds tucked back to. Im curious to see what kind of phenotypes are to be found in those. Everything looks great man. Great job.

Everytime I run the Sister I have her tied to the ceiling in 10 diff places. Those floppy branches love to fall over, esp when the Sister starts loading on buds like she can, long thick branches of flowers.I've only had to tie one D up and that only due to the small pot and the wieght of the plant, her branches are much more capable of holding a load of flowers than the Sister. The Sister can throw out a nice yield, I hope the D can do as well. It's tons of fun when everybody jumps in and we learn what these plants need to be totally dialed. This thread alone has changed my whole approach.I'm more of a plant specimen nerd than an organized yielder.:)
