How many moms for 100 clones a week ?

Just curious if there are any clone factory folk out there with some first hand Exp, how many healthy moms to produce 100 clones a week ?

It seems like the moms need some recovery. I have taken 40 clones or so from one healthy mom, but she needed about 2 or 4 weeks to recover.

So I was thinking if you had healthy ( bushy) mothers and you could get 25 clones per mom with a 2 - 4 week recovery period.
You would need about 16 mother plants to perpetually refresh 100 clones per week. * Mom group A minus 100 cuts minus 4 week recovery. Repeat each week group B , C , D and back to A.

Now how many cycles would be healthy for Mom ?
Say for instance mother group gave 300 clones she would be 12 weeks old, or 3 cycles old ?

I was thinking 24 weeks or 6 cycles.
Before they are expired and replaced ?

Any comments or hindsights you may see thanks.

I've no idea, but i know there are plenty of people round these ways, selling 100-200 cuts a time of bbcheese, calling it real cheese, or naming anything that doesnt smell remotely cheesey, kush. They can go for £10 a go or more i hear, which is alot of money for the guy doing it, but goes against everything i have learnt, and been advised about sharing genetics, well, at least good genetics.

I give friendly, cool growers anything i got for free, as would most here, but i wouldn't sell the guys filling their flats with flatscreens and ps3s and leather sofas, whoring out shit for scandalous money, for any ammount. They can keep their bbcheese and pretend kush, the nice people can have the real stuff for nothing.

Not saying you are one of these people, you may have completely different plans for your 100 a month. Just ranting a bit about it since i saw a thread earlier which i cant fijd now asking how much clones cost these days. Which makes me sad.

100 cuts per week ?

depend on the size of the moms you have there... i would say 10.

I have a bit over 10 before and i could take 100 cuts per week easy, sometime i ended up with so much and really have no idea what to do with em...

it depend on your location and size, also what are you keeping them in really, hydro you get a faster rate ,,, add the HID light you'll speed up the processes even more... a good 5 gal mama should be able to do 20 + healthy cuts per week...

cheers,

Yup, depends...

But from another perspective... maybe three or four 2'x4' t5 banks could cover the load... have many small plants there or a couple of bigger gals... same square footage. One tray could easily do 100 per week, in rotation, giving em 3 weeks off in between chops...?

lol... I can vouch for this guy. Listen to him. Rotating moms seems like a really good idea. 3 weeks is plenty of time to grow new stress-free branches for cuts...

Some of MIway's plants will be on display soon... :thank you:

i looked at the tital and said off the top of my head 12 i think once they are mor established you can cut that down to as little as 3 if you grow them big enough?..... not sure all i know is a cut potted in a 7L pot in coco can have 25 healthy cuts in 3 weeks x 100 per week is 300 divided by 25 = 12 :D

anyone else work shit like that out looks fucked up but makes perfect sense to me lol

just took 160 cuts from one mum shes dead now RIP muhahahaaa

You can take 100 clones every week of 1-2 moms. Keep them under big lights and keep your room temps a bit high (82-86)). Feed em heavy.

You doin a big pepetual SOG or somethin? I don't really keep moms anymore and I go through about 80 plants per month. After I transplant from veg to flower, i flip em amd them wait a few days for them to stabilize. Then I go in amd working from the bottom up, take a few clones off each plant, sometimes more. Out of 75 2' plants I easily get 250-350 clones, could get 500 if i was aggressive but I like my style and so do the girls. A few days later a helper comes in and does the actual pruning, and shapes he plant and cleans up the bottoms. This way shock is minimized and the followimg growth (now coupled with stretch) is explosive. Some of my strains triple in height around the bare bulbs.

Since this is a lot of cuts, sticking them takes a lomg time. I cut one night and stick em in RO with a splash of KLN in big plastic butter tubs, then prep trays and stick em a night or two later. Much easier this way, i usually hire a buddy to help me out with both steps for a few hours each day, makes it go much faster.

The catch is youre running the same strains over and over, if youre monocropping (and you should be) this is ideal. If you like to mix it up like me (now 34 strains) its much more complicated and takes a lot of planning.

Oh yeah, also plan for below par stick rates, accidents, and spares. The more plants you start, the more picky you can be about which plants you veg and flower. They both take tons of time, so run only the best of the best. I lose clones, cull constantly, and give weak plants away or toss em. If its something special and I have room, I will "hold over" plants for another round so they can get huge. Veg time is so important for good yields, I try to give them as much as I can so i can flip 8 lights worth of big bushy girls every month. No room or time for weaklings or bullshit.
