How much power usage is too much?

I live in a regular story and a half house, and would like to step up my power usage, how many lights can I get away with running without setting off any red flags?

P.S - I live in the flat lands, not Bc where everyone is running a 12 /12 flip ,lol .....

When the meter reader has to flip his paper over to write the rest of the numbers from your meter then you are using to much power.
