Greetings vert growers

I'm planning my first grow and going to go with the vertical donut style set up.

My flower room is 3.6m(L) x 2.8m(W) x 2m(H). and I want to run four 600w lights,
what I'm struggeling to get my head around is the best way to ventilate and filter the room.

Should I go with four small fans and four filters, one above every light.

One big fan,and four small filters.

One big fan and one big filter with some kind of box/manifold.

Also size of fans, filters and intake, any advice would be well appreciated, cheers.

put a small fan under each light slowly blowing hot air up to a big scrubber/fan unless you're trying to use cooltubes...

Well Bro.....you`re at app 10 x 12 ft wide and long , so your sq ftg needs more light than heatgain worry and extraction/air exchange....

I usedta run 3-600`s side by side in lil over 6 x 6 areas with 36 5-gal buckets and a small muffin fan under each bulb , and only a 6" vortex exhaust/scrubber combo on the ceilings , but with a 6" vortex active intake to keep more air moving/exchanging thru the rooms ftw......

If yas could cut the room in half and use 40 watts per sq ft in like 6 x 10 , you`d be more pleased with the plant quality end results come choptime , but IME 120 sq ft needs 6000 watts of light and controlled environment for a kickass setup @ 50 watts per sq ft...

Good luck....DHF....:ying:.....

new grower room design

Thanks for the replies.

mello-I'll be sure to get some small floor fans.

Cravenmore-can't get vortex fans were I am,but I will get a speed controller.

DHF-I don't really want to go to 6000,four six hundreds is what I feel comfy with for the moment.
Now I'm thinking I might cut four foot off the length of the room to make a veg/work room, which was going to be somewhere else.
If I have a extractor fan and filter with a manifold and four lengths of ducting, one hanging above each bulb, what size would my ex-fan and intake fan want to be.

Thanks again.

middle DHF gives very good advice.. it'd think about cutting the room down to make more use of your lights also it'll defiantly pay off come chop

With a plenum/manifold of sorts to suck heat off each bulb and then be exchanged/extracted out of the room is gonna take a way larger exhaust fan due to all of the resistance from said manifold and ductwork.....but....

How big is the X factor.....I`d go with Craven`s suggestion of a 10" for exhaust and 6" active intake on a speed controller dialed in to maintain negative pressure in the room to prevent smell leakage....

The scrubber`s gonna offer resistance as well , so with the plenum and scrubber , you`ll need to dial how much airflow it takes to do the job properly while exchanging the room`s air as close to twice per minute as possible........

You`ve got plenty of room ta make a mom/clone/pre-veg area , and then use the rest for a bloom room with the 4-600`s....as close to 50 watts per sq ft is optimal as long as yas can control ambient temps , RH , and lights off conditions no more than 10 degrees different from lights on...

Good luck...DHF...:ying:...
