Botany of Desire on PBS tonight at 8 pm. An absolutely fantastic documentary, which includes a section on the cannabis plant. This is listed on the Portland OR comcast station, probably on in many west coast cities.

This show is different than a botany book, though. It is specifically about 4 different kinds of plants, weed being one, I think another is the poppy plant, that interact with human consciousness when consumed, and how there is evidence that these plants actually are manipulating humans to work for them (by cultivation).

It is a really freaky thought, and the show backs up the hypothesis with a lot of science. If you haven't seen it yet, don't miss it. The show is based on a book of the same name, a very excellent read as well.

I don't think he was pointing towards the fact that it wasn't a BOOK...I think he was pointing towards the fact that its not the same concept/format as usually botany books/documentaries/etc...
