Not to sound like an ass but whomever you showed or spoke of your grow to must be involved even if they just told somebody else and they told somebody else etcetera.
It is not easy to be so proud of what you are doing that you just have to tell others. But your security is so breached by now that you have no choice but to quit or pack up and move to another town without the same friends or reputation. I had to make the decision in the 70s of to be cool or to grow. Been 40 years since Ive seen most people I grew up with.
