Hiya roll it large.
For sure mate, scrog is the way forward, especially if you're growing under LEDs. Box2 will eventually get scrogged too, but as I'm running from seed I need to get them sexed and sorted first.
As a side note, I've just received a new 120W LED with the 2W chipset, same as the one in Box1. This will go into Box2 when I flip to 12/12, to replace the 90W in there.

We have a few things in common iv noticed after reading your thread. Im just getting started with my LED's, 2 150w bars with 3w LED'S in a 2' x 4' x 5' tent. I got great quality, but now im growing from seed like you and will shortly be outta weed
, i should have taken clones.
Well the seeds are popped Skunk#1 an NL#5, plus a cross of the two. Also, i have the plants that iv just taken are in the tent to re veg for this summer. Last year i grew monster re vegged plants out and they went off like crazy. Sad part was partner ripping me off twice, messed up. There are some pic's in my profile place.....im new to the site and luvin it....
So after seeds give me the plants i need, i will scrog up the tent with im hoping 8 plants. But im new with the lights and the scrog method, so it should be fun.
Your thread has answered some questions i had and i wanted to let you know i really thank you for documenting your grow so well. The pic's are great and posting as many helps spell out the thread perfect!
It seems we are doing the same methods, but im behind you a bit. Im really glad that iv found your thread my friend, i will be watching to see what else i can learn

Welcome to the thread.
I'm also gonna have to reveg all the plants.....which could prove a challenge as the 2 ChemxSours are gonna be well rooted in together! I don't know what will go down when I attempt that, but I'm glad I got some seeds made! I waited 'til too long into flower to get cuts, and it seems they aren't the most vigorous plants when it comes to cuts rooting-for me anyway. They kick arse in all other aspects, so I'm not complaining.
You'll be fine with the scrog... It's surely the only way to get a decent yield of LEDs- at the moment anyway. My advice would be to check out VerdantGreen's thread. He's the ScrOGmaster.
I'm made up that you found my thread useful. The main reason I decided to start a thread was to keep a tab on the grow, for myself...it helps so much with dates, flowering times and all that. Its also nice to be able to look back and see the progression of the plants, I've never documented anything before. It's turned out to be quite rewarding.

As for the update.....tomorrow. Got fam-a-lam staying at my place so gardening time has been precious.

Ok, I finally managed to get up in the loft with enough time to chill and take some photos. Fitted a Rhino scrubber last week. All of a sudden I had the predicted 'Oh shit, that stinks' moment. I'm pushing the air through for now....needs must. All good though, airflow continues.
As I type this I'm puffin on a Black Diesel joint. Taken at day 64, 2 days to dry! It's only just about dry enough, but is a surprisingly nice smoke. It really does taste of grapefruit. Yum. Can't say more than that until it's finished and cured, but definately promising.
Box1.
Black Diesel. Day 66. She's hanging on in there and fattening up nicely, but I'm nonchalantly sharpening the scythe.
The Chemdog Sour Diesels....what can I say? The stench is incredible. It's all coming from Chem, the smaller one...indescribable stink really...kind of like weed and coffee.Easily the most stinky plant I've ever grown. A whole room full of these would fucking melt the walls...crazy.
Anyway...Day 39ish.
Chem.
Sour. What a plant....witness the Towers of Sour.
Box2. Crowded, hungry, some of them rootbound. The girls will be rewarded with a repot. Tomorrow is the 1st day of 12/12.
Strawberry Diesel F3s. Oh, in fact the Chem IBL is bottom left in this shot, too.
Number4 is a beast. Bound to show balls within a week.
And the Chemdog IBL. Nice plant...branchy. Untopped...as is the trifoliate SD F3.

Yes mate. Very happy. The Chemdog Sours are looking amazing. And the Black Diesel is coming down tomorrow. From here on in I'm expecting not to have to buy weed. That is a beautiful feeling.

Are people still hating on LEDs? The point has been proven enough times now for it not to be an issue, surely? Anyway, for me, growing in the roof under HPS isn't really an option. In the summer heat would be too much.
I used to grow under HPS with a much bigger setup, but for personal grows, LEDs seem like the obvious choice.
Quick update then...
Bit of a problem. All the plants in Box2 have turned out female!
I had thought that in the unlikely event of this being the case, that I could get 2 plants in each pot, in the way I've done the CDxSD girls. This would have been 4 plants (2 pots) in Box2, and 2 to go into Box1, to replace the Black Diesel.
The problem is that the Chem IBL and StrawberryDiesel4 are too big to share a pot with anyone....which means that 'the tent' might make another appearance. Or something.
Oh shit! I just remembered that I thought I'd better germ 3 NYLD F3 autos last night as well. I need them to finish by early August. Mayhem...

And a couple of harvest shots.
About half way through chopping her down, I found myself wondering where the smell of diesel oil was coming from! The first time I've smelled it on her....a faint but distinct diesel smell.
Box 1.
Chemdog Sour Diesels. Day 44. I expect the Diesel pheno to go 75+ days. Chem pheno at the front.

go on dao your smashing it brother, proving yet again you can pull dank from under L.E.D's very impressed mate, i have to admit ive never smelled diesel in any of the diesel strains, ecsd sd, psyco x sd, i do get what they mean when they say diesel, its deffo a unique smell and i have no other way to describe it so diesel it is. sorry tangent.
totally being self sufficent is the best feeling

Great looking grow man! If ya get a sec look at the re veg's in my album. I started them inside, then re vegged them to grow outside. Man they got huge. You can take a clone that has a bud on it and put into 24/0 light, branches will come strait out of the bud. You can take clones or flip to 12/12. I am doing this now, i will get these pic's in my thread soon as i want to start early documenting this grow. I think i might start today, but who knows, i get lost reading sometime in here.

A few developments since the last update. Strawberry Diesel Number5 turned out to be a proper hermaphrodite-busting out male and female flowers in abundance, at the same time. Didn't get pics, unfortunately, as I didn't have the camera on me when I clocked it.
So then....Box1.
Chemdog Sour Diesel. Day 56.
Chem pheno.
Sour pheno.
And Strawberry Diesel F3 Number1. Day 13. Coming along nicely. Has practically filled the screen on her own, so maybe it wasn't such a bad thing Number5 got the chop. Will get some better shots when I've got a spare minute.
Box2. Day 13.
Chemdog IBL. All folded up, nice and neat.
Strawberry Diesel F3 Number4. Still looking hungry. Has had a good feed of Iguana Juice and Maxicrop tonight.

Really liking those strains ya got going on bro, not that iv ever had a taste of any, but il be working on it after this show! I have my seeds all popped and ready for my first scrog man. Im not sure how many plants to use tho. My tent is 2' x 4' x 5'. I was thinking 8 plants should fill it as my screen, not yet built will be as close to 2' x 4' as i can get.
One thought i wondered about is one big screen better then a screen for half and another for the other half of plants. So 2 screens with 4 plants under each, or one screen with 8 plants? I think my pots are 3gal, which would be about a foot per pot. If anything i would just take big cuts maybe and put them in my cloner to plant outside. Just want to be ready for the unexpected, ya know?
Anyway, great thread man, your pic's are killer. Luv the different angles bro, not to mention they are very healthy.

The sour pheno certainly seems to be the looker of the CDSDs.....but the final proof will be in the toke...

Hey Marathanman, cheers mate. Don't reckon I'll be upgrading anytime soon. Hopefully. I'm happy if I can be self-sufficient for high-grade weed. I reckon I can do it with 2 120W flowering boxes. Thats good enough for me. Cheers for the heads-up though.

I'm not fussed about the SD hermie. Number1 seems to be doing her best to fill the space. Being trifoliate helps, 1/3 extra branches!

Ahhh....life is sweet at the moment.
Genetics are purported to be NYCDx'Unknown'. Female seeds, so whatever 'Unknown' is, it's reversed.
Yield: 1 plant, scrogged. 60W of light. Around 50g (+/- 5g), was weighed on my kitchen scales.
Flavour: Is improving as the cure progresses, as expected. Fairly smooth smoke. Has been in the jar for a couple of weeks now. Plenty of over-ripe grapefruit, with diesel on the exhale (you can't taste diesel if you smoke the weed with something else, e.g. tobacco). It tastes just as the blurb from the seed company said it would. In fact the plant grew out almost exactly to script.
High: Nice all-rounder. On a scale of very weak-very strong, this weed is strong. Plenty of head. Quite a clear buzz that can creep up on you. Aids concentration, I've found...I've managed to work after a crafty lunchtime jizzoint and not fuck anything up, anyway! After a couple of joints the buzz feels quite strong in the soles of the feet, also. Socialising is perfectly possible, probably good party/festival weed.
Overall: A nice easy plant to grow. Didn't enjoy being topped early, but loved a good scrogging! Good yeild, I reckon I could top 1g/W with this one with a bit more veg into the screen before being flipped. Will definately grow this again, as I have 2 more seeds. Will run them side by side and keep the better one, I think. Nice weed.
