How does Diesel taste?

I know this is going to be a massively subjective topic, but I want to know what you all think.

Whether you think it tastes like being hotboxed with the exhaust of an old 3rd world city bus, or going down on a skunk, or snorting a lemon wedge with an acetone chaser... or whatever, ... I just wanna know

At this point, I can't begin to imagine what everyone else is talking about by "Diesel".

Gotta feeling I might find out soon though

it really depends on the cut some are like diesle fuel some are more skunk fuel some are lemony some are gasoline.... there are some many diesle pheno/cuts its hard to say .... but most have a distinct burning smell

i dont get the gasoline flavour i tend to think its more floral than fuel like, i do how ever understand what people mean when they say it tastes that way, imo its pretty indescribable.

For the record, I've never tasted gasoline, diesel or fuel (aside from the taste of butane while lighting a pipe)... so, I'm not sure if those of you whom are describing Diesel as "fuel", "gasoline" or any other accelerant have actually tasted these chemicals and know this to be similar to the Diesel smoke experience or ????. Hope not

I've tasted benzine, machine oil and some other odd things.
Fuel tastes pretty much like high proof alcohol.

Usually people refer to diesel as what they would believe it would taste like after SMELLING it.
Diesel smells like benzine and engine oil with some lemony undertones. I don't think I've tasted Diesel.

Usually people refer to diesel tasting \ smelling buds when the buds taste \ smell like ammonia or chemicals. Like good egyptian hash. (I don't like egyptian hash at all, but the good grade smells and tastes like that)

Depends on the diesel. I smell anything from a sour lemon fuel, to a skunks ass, all the way to burned rubber.

Now Chemdawg varieties are pretty much similar, but the Chem4 has a sandalwood quality.

ive made my ecsd taste like diesel when i quick dryed it and stored it in a jar, it wasnt nice but thats the only time and it was only a hint.

but otherwise id never of said it was fuel smelling, i just dont taste that at all, but every1 has a different pallet so maybe some taste it some dont im not sure. it does change depending on the diesel strain obviously, it is a real hard smell to describe, ive got nothing better than diesel.

ive deffo had a burned rubber smell to a bog sour bubble kush i had it was so wierd, i didnt like it.

So, what I've been sensing from this Diesel cross is to be expected then...

... like the sensation of getting up out from underneath a vehicle I've been working on.. including the spins from standing up too fast.

Sour D is a fave of mine, topped only by this orange/grapefruit citrusy afghan(ish) strain I stumbled across once. I forced myself to make an 1/8th of that shit last over 2 months.
I think I still cry when I think about the day I packed a wand of the last of that stuff

I know sour diesel probably the best out of the diesel family. It is one of my favorite all around type smokes. I don't taste fuel at all. It is a very pungent and dense taste but I never had any image of fuel pop into my head at all. To me it the taste reminds me of the color green, like if you could taste green. I'm not saying it tastes green as in not cured...just reminds me of how green color would taste. It is one of the few strains that reminds me of the taste of a specific color and I haven't found another strain yet that reminds me of the same color. My senses are sometimes bit different than most though so I'd actually be surprised if somebody understands what I mean.

Now one thing I do taste that I think may be the fuel flavor people are talking about is a oily hashy type flavor, but I've tasted that flavor on a few varieties that tend to be heavy hitters.

For the record, I've never had a Chemdawg based strain (Diesel) that didn't taste great. It is not some horrible or unbareable smell/taste. It is more of this original pungency of this Deep complex taste. Some of the Chem's and Diesels are actually quite sweet. For instance StarDawg and Snowdog for me are the apex of chemdawg tastes, quite possibly the perfect cannabis taste you have always searched for. But obviously everyone has their own preferences of what they think tastes/smells the best. But the taste is so strong and absolutely refreshing - something that might make you smoke more than you want for the taste alone. One of the most distinct and amazing tasting cannabis you will ever encounter and should be on the wish list of anyone who hasn't as well as those who have and want more.

But one thing is for sure, every last one will have you coming back for another taste, or trying to get as much as possible out of the taste of every hit.

Don't let the name diesel fool you, you may want to smoke it everyday for the taste alone. This is partly why it is so popular, aside from the amazing high personality and potency.

I agree with that. At least all organic dees has the grapefruity smell
