With the growing amount of hostilities among the medical MJ and just MJ in general what are you doing to keep yourself safe?


I know we at IC MAG are some of the most creative people around. With all the cell phone storage and secret data mining and bugs and gps what are you doing to stay safe??


Are there bug sweepers gps jammers computer programs to get into your phones like the police have???

every one i think know the basics... but what are some of the more ingenious ways you keep youself safe...?

1) lying like it was an Olympic sport.
2) believable source of income. that may mean actually doing real work occasionally.
3) no phone. no wall phone, no cellphone, no tracphone, no xylophone.
4) contrary to popular thought, i think every grower should have a partner - his broker. see #1 for what broker should actually know, however.

for police, i just bought a GPS blocker that installs in your ashtray, i havent been able to test it on my GPS system yet though, which reminds me.

i constantly watch out for cars on my block that are out of the norm, i watch for tails too but i doubt they still do that.

im mostly paranoid about phones...i hate talking on the phone. whenever illegal shit is mentioned i can just see The Wire happening, where they press "pertinent" and then they hear us talk about marijuana and shit.....then i imagine me sitting in court while they play the tape...so yeah i think the best way to keep safe is to NOT USE PHONES....

Definitely don't fit the profile, and don't drive a car that does either! That means don't have excessively dark tint, loud exhaust, loud music, or have stickers & decals with pot leaves, or dead-head shit on them, etc.

P.S. Don't get me wrong, I love the Dead, but I live in a draconian state, so it is not wise to draw unwanted attention.

having a single legally registered gun hidden away from the growsite is a little different than having an illegal ak-47 with a few 30 round magazines....

i used to sleep with an AR15, r700 and a half dozen other guns in my grow lol...i moved all of them to a stash spot but could not bring myself to get rid of the glock, when those little creaks and noises in the night start to happen im damn glad its around.

I have a LEO stone that I keep on my doorstep. Works like a charm.

My friend has a similar one for elephants.

Seriously tho, drive the speed limit. Don't smoke in your car (even if now they can't search, doesn't mean they can't watch your ass illegally). If you are transporting, keep it in the trunk, bagged and in tupperware, pack it like russian nesting dolls if you have to.

At your house, have a designated weed area, try not to keep your shit here and there. Take on a respectful attitude with everyone you meat, or if you can pull off the asshole that people avoid, then go for it (be careful not to be the asshole that gets fucked with, or fucked up).

Most importantly perform a lobotomy on the part of your brain that develops trust. I don't trust people around anything, don't matter if it has nothing to do with weed, or has no cash value. Don't make people think twice about why you don't want them to see something or go in a room. Be assertive. Make no your new yes. Just because someone asked you something, and you can do it no problem doesn't mean you should every time.

Also about the guns, closest thing I have to one is a semi-auto c02 pellet gun. Good enough to get closer or haul ass away. I do have blunt and sharp instruments tho, I'm no ninja tho.

Don't matter if I have the gun registered or not, in an illegal grow it makes things worse, not better. I don't even think self-defense flies in some places, straight up murder.

Tell no one, trust no one.
Don't smoke while driving while anywhere near your grow area.
Guns & drugs don't mix, IMO.
Just increases the charges against you.
Keep a good attorney on retainer if you can afford it and are growing large.
It would be nice if you had a place to flee to out of the country if you are facing hard time.

I'm a complete white boy dork with no hands-on skills, make the ugliest grow rooms on planet earth and never grew so much as a tomato before my first grow show. Never been caught or even jammed up because I avoid shady people at all costs. I've doubtlessly made less money as a result. It's worth it.

In terms of technology, I put zero mental energy into it. The Patriot Act has made it so that if police are onto you and care enough to dig, it's over. They will get a warrant, and they will catch you. The key is to stay under the radar. If you're so hot as to think cops are listening in, don't even bother with the jammers. Save your money for the legal fees, because you're done.

My 4 rules for growing are

Honestly the things you do to make a grow room clean and light proof will go a long way to the security of your crop.

Odours, Light Leaks & Loose Lips will bring a grow undone every time.
