Fair warning to all you outdoor champs.

"Security researchers have discovered that Apple's iPhone keeps track of where you go – and saves every detail of it to a secret file on the device which is then copied to the owner's computer when the two are synchronised.
The file contains the latitude and longitude of the phone's recorded coordinates along with a timestamp, meaning that anyone who stole the phone or the computer could discover details about the owner's movements using a simple program.
For some phones, there could be almost a year's worth of data stored, as the recording of data seems to have started with Apple's iOS 4 update to the phone's operating system, released in June 2010.
"Apple has made it possible for almost anybody – a jealous spouse, a private detective – with access to your phone or computer to get detailed information about where you've been," said Pete Warden, one of the researchers."

It worries the hell out of me Mr. Jay. I traded in my truck because it had a satellite tracking system in case it was stolen. I have insurance in case its stolen and i dont want to be tracked. I had to special order, without the gps and my insurance company refused to insure the truck. I found another company.

Seeing the display from the iphone scared me. I can hear the prosecutor now,"Mr. Toker claims he doesnt know anything about marijuana or this patch of it, yet when we look at his phone record we see that he's actually spent a great deal of time at this site starting in early may!" YIKES!!!!

what are 'burners'? yeah this is old news. iphones are really watching your every move. nowadays it's best to take the batteries out of your phone if you are guerrilla growing. good to have a phone with you in case of acidents or so, but best have the aku removed, with new phones there is even a back up battery which means removing the main battery is not enough to stop remote activation. not sure if the gps records will continue using the back up battery?

personally i have no clue why you would even carry a phone with you if your doing things like this that are potentially life threatening. fuck that, id never have any device if i was growing guerrilla, no way in hell id take it near any operation that could have my life ruined.

people should honestly know better knowing how much we are watched already, the day i used google earth i knew to never trust technology again, how those fucking satallites get such clear views from that far away still blows my mind. no telling what else they use on us.

i know ideally one leaves the phone at home, but considering the guerrilla grows can be in wild areas, having a phone in case of emergencies could help. best is a old shitty phone with no gps with battery out.
