Australian Soil Fertilisers - NPK Listing

I decided to make an NPK list of the more well known and available brands we have after being constantly jealous for years about not having FoxFarm and other big name US products available that I've seen produce good results.

Credit due to EeJay's post on the second page of the sticky thread for inspiring my investigation.

Soil growers feel free to chip in with which you use - how much - when - success stories - preferences - overuse warnings - etc

No need to be jealous ,
we have some of the best fertilizers in Australia ,

The only one on your list i use is the seaweed extract and fish emulsion ,
in combo with K tec (pelletised chicken manure with additivies) , perlite/vermiculite and chicken manure .
imho , chicke manure/ chicken feathers are under rated , cannabis loves it , and it improves the soil as well as bringing worms etc ..

The above ive found once you ease them into the first few doses ,
its quite hard to overdose , given its all organic ...

I find its best to keep it simple ,
some companys will charge extra for the same products , just different packaging and labelling . so always check ..

I have come to love Neutrog fertilisers.

They are all certified organic and very affordable in the 15-20 kg bags and smaller tubs.

I was using Manutecs fruit n flower pellets because of the crabmeal which contains chitin. Very valuable fertiliser. But its made in China so now i wont buy it...

Anyone know a commercial enterprise selling crab or lobster shell pellets etc?

That what is all about eh! encouraging worms..once you got worms galore you know your on the right path..I use a lot of sheep and goat manure, you can bubble it with a fish tank air stone in a bucket with water added and make your self some beautiful tea...horse manure is good if you throw loads of it on your beds over winter..nothing like good organic Marijuana ..welcome to flavour country :gday:

re Donald Mallard's post above. I ruined a nice plant by side dressing with katek (the chook poo plus everything). could not rejuvenate it.
so I 'm sus about using it again. first time organic grow tho'. maybe I 'll do better next season.
oh yeah ... saw somewhere that dynamic lifter does a high potash chook poo for roses ... might suit as a side dressing before flowering.

must have been a bit too heavy for first dose or got watered in too much ,,
its happened to me also ,, but only on plants that had not had any and then i added a bit much ,,
combined with lots of water ,, dead plant ,, hehe ..
toss a handful around early on ,, little at a time ,,

wilbur Organics can be a bit of suck and see, over fertilising is the first mistake most peeps make and it tends to put them off the whole thing,if you already had lush looking plants there was no need to be adding any more N into the equation via the katek, we need to kick of an Aussie Organic thread so we can share our experience with this ,I grew Hydro for over a decade ,I was quite good at it too but I don't think that I ever grew any thing out to its full potential ! I went Organic because it became clear to me that if I wanted full flavour, full potency dope this was the only way I was going to get it..I had a little Hydro relapse recently, a coco grow, yields were enormous (better than a gram per watt) but it came at the cost off just about every thing that I like about weed ,smell, flavour ect simply put it had no soul and didn't I cop some shit off my peeps for that one! I'll end my rant but would just like to say that Organics for me personally has been worth any of the hassles that I have had getting it sorted:gday:
oh that Dynamic Lifter Advanced for Roses is the schnitz.
picture.php

A new formulation of Australia’s favourite organic-based plant food. Dynamic Lifter Advanced for Roses combines rich, composted chicken manure with all those extra nutrients that roses require for healthy growth.

Features
Added mineral nutrients to boost nutrient levels.
Ideal balanced formula for promoting growth and flowering.
Relatively high potassium level also improves disease resistance.
Formula used in commercial agriculture for crops that have the same nutrient requirements for healthy growth and abundant flowering and fruiting (eg, strawberries).
Chicken manure component encourages soil microbial activity and doesn’t depress pH.
Pellets are dried before packing. This means that they release nutrients over a longer period (up to 2 months).
User-friendly packaging. Re-usable pails in easy-to-carry 1.5 kg size and economical 10 kg pack. Larger pack has unique, easy-open lid with sealing lip that protects and preserves product in storage.
Enclosed measuring scoop allows accurate distribution of fertiliser.
How It Works
The major plant nutrients in Dynamic Lifter Advanced for Roses are blended together in a balanced ratio (10:4:12 – 10% nitrogen, 4% phosphorus and 12% potassium.) that’s just about ideal for promoting good growth, strong disease resistance and lots and lots of luscious flowering. The formulation also includes many other valuable plant nutrients, while the organic base encourages rich, healthy soil that’s full of natural biological activity.

Ingredients
Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium

(NPK analysis: 10 : 4 : 12).

hi all,i have tried most of the availible products from around oz at one time or another.
As far as the liquid nutes,I have had good results with the following
Maxicrop by multicrop(i am sure everyones know this one) N.P.K 4.6,1.2,3.1 (organic)
Yates multi nutrient(organic)
Yates flower and fruit concentrate (not organic)
I have had good reults using dynamic lifter all purpose pellets, but i much prefer a brand called organic extra,it is now widely availible and is organic, and it,s good shit, never had a prob with it,highly recommended all purpose granular fertilliser!I havnt got a bag in the shed,so i,ll have to go and check out the NPK.
I have used the manutec products bloom booster, and pure potash.
The bloom booster did produce good results, and i never had issue,s with it,i actually found i could go hard with it on some lines. However,it is not organic.
I had a mate using charlie carp,he swears by the stuff, personly i have never used it,but i have seen his results using it,and it seems to do the trick. he reakons he has no probs, doesn,t burn, and most of all,it,s cheap.....!
anway, hope it helps abit,i have used other products and will search out the details and post em,peace..Sensient
