Here here for the disc golf! I haven't been playing in the last year or 2 but I will be getting out there a bunch this year. It helps keep me active, for the most part the people are pretty cool and I love doing the road trips to hit as many as I can around the area. There's nothing quite like have an awesome shot on a beautiful day. I sometimes just stop to listen to the trees and take in the day around me. Really zen, really awesome.

I've played disc golf for over 20 years. My Innova driver and putter is all I need.

I agree, y'all need to be cool on the course smoking the green. Too many negative news stories about stoners in the park next to kids, puppies and unicorns.

Has anyone played disc golf on the PlayStation Move? Great stoner game for those long cold winter months.

Recently discovered a course right up the street that's on school property. Given our State's anything short of the death penalty attitude for possessing in a 'Drug Free Zone' I guess it makes sense that I drive by it several times a day and never even noticed it 'cuz it's always empty. A regular golfing bud was actually the one who turned me on to it and let me know that it was just two blocks from my home. So much for awareness of my surroundings...

Where's a good place to scarf some discs? The local sporting goods joints here have either regular Frisbee's or nada.

I love gettin' baked out on a regular golf round as well. Beautiful surroundings, nice and quiet, and plenty of room between me and the people in front and behind. Plus they give you these cool little go carts to fuck with.

The game makes me nuts when I'm straight 'cuz there's just too much shit to think about. Given the proper mental lubricant I just don't give a crap and resort to grip it and rip it, which ends up being a lot more enjoyable for me than the club throwing tantrums that I see other more serious types resort to. My wife and I got paired with this real serious Japanese businessman while vacationing and we were just chillin' and enjoying the scenery while we played our usual hack game, but the Japanese dude was Mr. Intensity.

The guy probably shot a couple strokes under par and still flipped out on the 18th and no shit, chucked his entire bag of custom clubs in the drink. How's that for relaxing? He was such a dick about his own game that he half fucked up the round for us. That was someone who truly needed a puff, but I didn't have the nerve to offer so I just bought him a beer.

come on!

come on!

THis is a given for anyone on this site. IF u havent played disk golf u better ask some one.

Balboa park SD , GReat disk golf, leave at sun down cause dudes start having random encounters in the bushes after dark

POST UP YOUR FAVORITE DISCS!!! i have mostly innova star or champion discs
ill have to go through my bag, i havent played in over a year, but its a great chill sport.
the only downside is there are lots of water hazards here, and its gator country. i went about 20 feet out to get a innova star disc last year. it didnt look that deep but the mud was very sinky so by the time i got to my disc, i was up to my chest in water. we've seen over 10 foot gators in there.

edit, if you know what you want, ebay is great for discs. i found a shop local to me that does most of their business online, so they have everything in stock and have great prices, plus you can see the item. http://www.discgolfcenter.com/
im looking for a basket or 2 for the yard to practice, any first hand suggestions?

Just got into disc golf. Where I grew up it wasn't big and I don't even remember seeing a course till my 20s. Now, living in middle America, disc golf is everywhere. I've driven through towns of 1000 people with 3 courses in them. Anyways, started playing and have to say, might be the best stoner sport ever made.

Been jammin' for years, one of the best courses in southern CO is right here in my town. Definitely one of the best stoner games out there!

Anyone ever played at Lakeport? . A group of my friends get together every 11/11 to go discing, we travel throughout Cali to find the best courses we can. Usually between 15-25 of us so its always a great day. Got my only ace there on the last basket of the day on 11/11/07 Killer part was some locals were getting ready to have a tourney. and the last basket happens to be where everyone meets and blazes. Long story short, its a perched shot over a creek and onto another bluff on the other side. I couldn't see my throw after it made tree line, all I heard where chains and 30 people screaming. Was fucking classic, everyone signed my disc, its still hanging in the garage, I was on cloud nine. Innova champ Valkyrie ftw baby.
I haven't been able to go as much as I would like to lately, its good for the soul and the chubs too. If anyone in the East bay ever wants to fling some give me a PM, I'd love to hittem up on the weekend. I really want to run down to Santa Cruz this next couple weekends and make a day of it, DeLaVeaga owns.

Love disc golf, Like many have said perfect stoner sport. The two courses around me are both so wooded that noone ever notices us smoking. Have to be stoned to play though or I think to much. This thread reminded me that I needed to get back out and play.

Just purchased 3 discs on the web, waiting for them to arrive so I can play my first ever round of disc golf! I don't know why it took me so long to discover this sport, seems perfect like everyone is saying for a stoner to play. I visited a local Portland course a few days ago to see what it was like...damn, the course is in a bunch of old growth forest, trees about 6 or 7 feet in diameter...fucking beautful! For those who haven't seen any old growth forests...basically giant trees with no under growth (due to the light being blocked by the tree canopy above), it's a very mystical, fairy tale like environment. I think I'm really going to like this sport, what a great way to get outside and get a wee bit of exercise while feeding your head at the same time.

Whoa Nelly! Been a while since I tossed a friz...boy did I ever lose it! I have a driver, a mid range, and a putter. I throw the putter straighter and farther than the others, throw the mid range farther and straighter than the driver, I just plain suck throwing my driver!!

I've gone out twice so far to practice my throwing (mistakenly was figuring I could just go start playing on the course...), and I definitely see improvement. Hoping it won't take too many more practice sessions before I can start testing myself on the course at Pier Park in Portland.

No need to reply here....I'z just talking to myself...:)

Well....this game isn't nearly as easy as it appears. They put all these big ass trees in the way.
