right fellas i need some expert advice on lights. im out of work now. so your advice is importent to me because the advice you give me on lighting im not able to buy anymore. ive got a grow space 3 ft wide x 2 ft long by 6 ft high. i only want to grow four plants at a time in there in 7 and a half litre pots. so my question is which lights would be best suited for this space. heres my option. i want them for flower and veg from start to finish. two 225 w leds. two 300w cfls. or one 250w hps. many thanks for any replys fellas. terrier

A 250 would be fine but a 400W HPS would be better. LED won't penetrate as much as HID so you won't utilize all the vertical space you have with those. Being jobless doesn't help the LED aspect either, they are expensive for the good ones. CFL is best applied in lower Wattage bulbs due to more light than heat being produced.

All lighting types have their place, but I think an HPS would be best for your tall space. 400W if you can do it. It will penetrate deeper if you want to grow taller plants.

I would also go aircooled 400. I run one bare bulb in a 3x3x4 cab.. ventilation is key.
