flushing hydro

Hey all, i'm just finishing up my first hydro/aero grow and was wondering if the flush times are the same as in soil. 10ish days right?

I"m flushing botanicare pbp bloom, no liquid karma. I was also thinking of adding an all organic tea the last week then flush clean h2o for the last 3 days.. thoughts?

we flush after every nutrient change out (so every 6th day we flush with water from the hoes. we flush each plant twice. this helps clear that calcium buildup and helps finish the plants. after the last nutes cycle. we flush 3 times, add water (ph around 5.8 of course) and just water for the last couple of days. 3 is good. do you have a link to the tea? how did it go for you?

thanks for the input. No link for the tea as its made locally and 100% organically from our local zoo using all sorts of composts. Gonna flush the botanicare after the res dries this weekend and add the tea then flush with just h2o for the last days.. just wanted to make sure that 3 days would be enough. thanks

do any of you guys cut the water a day before? In soil I wold stop watering like 2-3 days before to kind of sppeed up the drying time, anything like this for hydro?

I cut my watering times down during later flowering to avoid botrysis (bud mold). Wouldn't add any nutes just ph adjusted H2O, you can add a flush type product if you would like; they add sucrose or some type of carbohydrate so the plants can still get that beneficial sugar at the end of cycle.

Good luck, peace

thanks rowdy. I;ve actually been turning up my spray times (i'm in a aero/hydro mix) but towards the last few days i'm going to dial the times back. I dont have enough money for a chemical cleaner like clearX so jst plain tap water for this round. Should i keep the ph near 5.6-6.0 like I did with nutes for just plain water?

Yeah same ph levels will treat you right. Your leafs will turn fall colors if you allow the girls enough time to use up the extras it has stored and will burn down to a clean white ash.

I've read that in nutrient analysis of finished dried buds both chem and organic nutes the organic nutes are tougher to flush out with the same flush as the chem.

So of I were you I'd flush with plain water tap or RO for 7-10 days and flush the system a few times with in that 7-10 days to get all nutes out.

beat of luck to ya.

they were flushed with an organic tea mixed with like 200ppms of botanicare for 4 days and then with just tap water from the hose for another 4.

I had to pull one that only had a 24hr tap water flush cuz it was starting to herm but she's dry and curing right now and has passed the "white ash" test in a joint and she was harvested last tuesday 4/12
