i have at some jobs . but my primary income comes from being a mechanic. and i do brakes and alot of other stuff you just cant fuck with. people could loose their lives if i am stoned and fuck up something crucial. i have done most other jobs stoned to the bone when being stoned wont possibly hurt others. now i am disabled and can smoke all day

Home Now & puffing, but I can totally relate Super... As of now I'm welding & fabbing in a small company in my own booth @ my own pace and its totally Kosher w/no drug test, but when I used to work on 600 psi Boilers that were online & moved shit with 30-60 ton cranes....it was a definite no smoke. Lives were on the line. Things were crucial. One wrong bolt loosened & POW! Death all around, however presently I have no worries as such. I know I'm not the only one puffing before work & have decided that in the mornings...5 days a week...I'm dropping in on this thread and puffing my ass off before I head out in the morn & all are welcome! Keep it green stoners!

I imagine some of you may be able to go for breaks every now and then and light up.

Usually in places I worked, we only had breaks only every now and then and if I wanted to smoke I had to hide real good. Paranoia factor, feeling you have something to hide.

Getting caught smoking weed is ground for getting fired at most places.

But, I have done it often, and work was much more fun.

I never did it in jobs where I had to have all my head or else it was dangerous.

One time my manager smelled it on me, he took me to his office upstairs, sat me down..

Smiled and said he smelt reefer.

I of course denied it. He said, oh don't worry i'm not scolding, I smoke it myself but if the customers smell it, it could cause trouble .

No friggen way can i smoke before work on MOST days. However, if i wake up with a migraine and it's either vape or call in sick, i'll vape and try to make it to work. Did that today, and i feel pretty good now that the day is almost over.

But, generally, no i need all of my braincells in gear to be effective at work as a computer systems engineer.

I don't care one way or the other myself, whether folks do it or not. I'm more concerned with the "Pharma" cocktails some folks take. Lot's of worse things people do at work. Some folks have carriers where it isn't such a good idea and I understand that. Some folks have carriers where it may not matter and I understand that too.

I'll tell ya this...ive smoked cannabis at almost every job ive had....almost. however i have never gone in totally drunk or on pills or any other intoxicating chemical that the world has to offer and would never. Cannabis does not affect me personally in a way to where i could not perform my current duties at work or put anyone in danger so for me personally it is functional. I mean...im not running off to the stall in the bathroom to fire herion into my jugular....im a pot head

really depends on what type of work you do as to whether it's 'OK' or not imo. that being said don't complain about your boss not paying you enough if you're stoned on the job.......

i havent met someone thats in my particular line of work that doesnt get high while doing what we do. smoking one before balances and centers me. that balance is then transferred into my work....and i LOVE it!!

When I was younger I smoked all the time as a pizza delivery driver. When I became a tile setter I was getting high quite frequently as well. I would even get drunk with the painters. Now I am a pipe layer/heavy equipment operator. If I was to smoke before work it would not be good. If I get hurt or someone gets hurt I get drug tested. If I kill someone I could be charged with manslaughter if my test comes up dirty. My job is way too dangerous to be high at work. I am only 26, but I miss being 18 and delivering pizzas! Growing my own weed to smoke and blazing anytime I wanted. Every time I got pulled over while smoking a bowl, they would see the pizzas and send me on my way. It was my get out of jail free card. Cops love pizza and can relate with getting a cold pizza so they don't bother you. $300 rent, $35 phone bill, and not a care in the world. Except for only getting laid here and there back then, life couldn't of been better.

I have smoked at jobs before. I have smoked way to much at jobs before. However I have never smoked before or during work when I had a good job.
