Questions for 2011 outdoor grow.

Whats up fellow icmaggers? I have a question hopefully some of you can shed some light on. I live in New york middle of the state(north south wise) near the vermont border. I now have an ak-48 mom and clones are being taken on monday for the next indoor round. I'm gonna take extra to put outdoor also. My question is for anyone near my area when do you put your plants in the ground for the season? I'm gonna order some fem'd seeds also and hoping I can start them and get them and the clones in the ground at the same time. My past attempts outdoors have failed in the past and really want to get something of decent yeild and quality. Usually in my area 1st week in October is getting frosty so they would be harvested by then. Any help you guy's could give me would be great. Also If you guy's have any strain suggestions for my area please feel free to give them. I have great success indoors please help me to obtain that in the great outdoors. T.I.A

im NY too hahahah if its Ak-47 then my buddie grew it up here last season we put our plants out early/mid may......... and cut down no later than october 3rd (hunting southern tear is oct. 16th this year n dont want anyone stumbling on it. couple prob. with the AK is that it wont finish in time due to season/ temp., and also its bad w/ mold around here so have to lollipop it like no other. the yeild is great and the colas are fluffy so it sells great but as far as quality it cant reach that indoor potential because u can control conditions so it wont be as potent. Go with a early flowering strain like:
Early Misty
Early Girl
Top 44
First lady
Guerrilla Gold
Timewarp
M-39
Mighty mite
Hollands hope

My personal fav.
Purple Power

The first two early misty and girl are both bomb starins and fairly leafy/fluffy
but around here u need to be 100% careful of your mold issues but the first list i made here are all like less than 8week strains if im not mistaken

Maybe some auto flowering plants would be better for you. You could harvest early September and not worry about mold at all. This is the route I would go if I were you.

How's the sour 60? anyone done this outdoors? sound good. Do auto flowers produce males or do they always produce budz only?

Or the blue streak? both sound good. Never considered an auto flowering strain b4 but it does make a little sence with the quickness they finish in my location.
