Hey there I'm very excited to grow vertical, I have been watching this forum for months now and I finally started my first one. Got lots of ideas from Gardenbug and Aerohead thanks guys! Vegged the bubba kush myself for about a month and got the Alaskan Thunder Fuck from a collective. In the pics the leafier one with broad leaves is the bubba, the skinnier one is the ATF. Going to flip in about a week since they are the same room as my horizontal grow and they are looking about ready. I would like to veg longer to fill out the screen but I will take what knowledge I can get with this trial run. Hoping they stretch to the light so I can train them in my screen. Average height of 1 foot with both strains. One 600 for each circle, slightly higher on the bubba.

Thanks.
Feedback?

Welcome to the Vertical family, this outta be good!

DHF

Bubba don`t stretch fer shit once flipped , so the winner`s gonna be the ATF......

Like the screens......Ran 5 gal ebb and flow buckets for a lotta yrs.......pretty much bulletproof setup as long as the rootmass doesn`t get too big ta clog feed/drainlines once end of stretch is over and the plants stop makin roots.....

Good luck....DHF....:ying:.....

Devlove, nice clean setup.

I like the screens as well, simple and effective.

DHF has the bubba pegged, won't stretch for shit when she's flipped. Grow her where ya want her, then do your flip.

Good luck with the grow, should be a fun one.

Lights off for 30 hours. These pics are within the first hour of lights on 12/12.

Bubba are the first and third pics. Atf is the second and fourth. Looks like lots of room for training, hopefully she stretches some soon.

That looks familiar.
Cool to see an ebb and flow setup this way.
I'm thinking of converting my dwc over to coco.

Watch out for the edges of the metal fence, they can be sharp. I would snip off the pieces hanging out there in the open, don't want to loose an eye. Even then the little bit left is still sharp, at least mine is after using snips to cut it. I ran a small strip of duct tape down mine after I got tired of shredding my arms and face on them. I've been considering painting the edges with plastic dip.
How did you end up attaching the screens to the buckets? I went with hvac zip ties and duct tape. Depending on how big and heavy the plants get and how strong the fence is you may need to support it. Mine was fine until late flower and then I started noticing the biggest plants leaning inwards. I also use no medium so the plants don't have support, might not be an issue for you. I started by tying it to the ceiling but ended up zip tying a piece of 1/2" pvc to the bucket and to the screen. Works perfect.

Looking good so far.

Yeah I've got a few scratches already but that's what I get for trying to save money and fencing material. I got the best rig for the screen! I put it in the bucket and gorilla taped it to the side, then filled with medium and plant. I know you can't do this with your medium-less set-up but you gave me the idea. They feel pretty solid so far, at least enough to support all the bud I can grow..
Thanks for stopping by

Here's a couple before and after on the bk that needed some training into the screen. I haven't really taken anything off the bottom as far as pruning goes because my girls are around two feet and everything is getting light right now. I have the bulb slightly higher than the tops to help them stretch. Just hit 1 week of 12/12. Can't wait to get some buds popping up so I can see where I stand. I definitely want to run some sour d in this as I think it will make training and filling out the screen a lot easier. Thanks for feedback!

How is it working out with sticking the screen into the medium to support it? I'm switching to coco next run and was considering doing the same thing.
