Hey check out these side by side pics from my grow and a friends grow......same exact cut - SFV OG kush, grown in similar but different methods using a Fox Farms/Perlite mix.

Ok, so far left is my friends. he grows in hydro, feeds 2x a day. his mix is 50/50 so way more perlite than me, no light warrior just FFOF and a bunch of perlite. He feeds using Floranova Micro and Bloom, with one light dose of kool bloom around week five. His was picked 8-9 weeks, and is really nice herb with frost and good swollen calyxes.

Middle is mine, grown in something similar to moonshine mix. FFOF/FFLW/perlite Very little nutes were used, maybe 2-3 feedings of the Fox Farms line including Tiger Bloom, etc. Each feeding was maybe 1/3 strengh tops....picked at nine weeks. incredible flavor and nice swollen calyxes.

Third one was bit of a dissapointment. It was picked early, so maybe thats why it didnt bulk up. Same soil mix as the middle, same nutes, except at around week 5 i tried something new and used a half dose of Dutchmaster Potash. This sent the plants into nute burn central, and i think this drastically reduced the yeild. Good smell, taste, and trichs, but very small calxys, almost look shriveled up.

SO ONTO THE MAIN QUESTION - DO YOU USE ANY ADDITIVES OR BOOSTERS WITH YOUR FOX FARMS OR OTHER SOIL MIXES???

Anything you swear by to increase glands and overal density/size?

I have another crop coming down soon where i boosted it around 8 weeks right before flush with Bloombastic and some Cha-ching at a 1/3 dose....so hopefully those will bulk up real good. that will also be a 9 week pull.

So maybe the far right nug is just smaller because it was pulled to early...or maybe it needed some added ferts. I forgot to add that for the most part, i only water with plain water and a very light nute regimen every 2-3 feedings. OG Kush likes to burn if you ever try to creep above 1/3 dose, at least in my experiance...

Interested to hear what my fellow FF soil growers have to say.....Anything you swear by? Anybody tried GRAVITY in conjunction with FF soil mixes?

my ffof/promix/perlite is ammended with organic ferts when i mix the soil up. i have used boosters before and hands down the best one is canna boost 13/14.

When i first started I did FFOF + grow big, big bloom, and the 3 supplements- Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching. Was turned on initially by the cool graphics lol but seemed to work well for me. I prob would switch it up if I went back to dirt again but I liked 'em.

Yea im using that lineup right now, been getting good results just alot of burn if the dose gets too high. So on reccomendation from a friend checked out Earthjuice Catalyst which is supposedly non-burning.

My buddy might give me a couple bottles of his lineup to run on a tray since i will have two reservoirs soon to do side by sides...

i am using happy frog with nothing but maxi bloom at 1/3 the recomended dose, every watering, and a hit of kool bloom 5 days before the flush begins. og is very nute sensitive (as i'm sure you know) and mine seem happy at this dose, i don't use anything fancy, just some of the cheapest nutes you can get, and they work AMAZING! i have never had such a lush canopy indoors for as long as i have had it this time around...eventually i always over or under do something a little.

to be honest i would say that the 3rd bud just needed more time, my og kush will be going for 10 weeks i'm thinking, but 7 is def way too early and that would be why it isn't as plump and sugary as the others...i'm not sure but i think i have heard of people going almost 80 days but that could have been another strain...i'm definitely going to play it by ear if i decide to go any longer than 70 days...

I use Bush Doctor Microbe Brew, Cha-Ching, and Beasty Bloom for additives & Fox Farm Ocean Forest for my medium. Personally, I love the stuff. :) Here is a gal 47 days in flower with using these additives/boosters.

damn lion thats a monster! ive also gotten some pretty good results out of FF using very little nutes....maybe 1/6th strengh sometimes...she is plenty packed. still toying around with her though, im gonna try a 50.50 mix with perlite next time to make her more set up for a hydro drip system using lucas formula...just trying to copy my friend who got some huge dank nugs out of that setup....side by side with the FF 25% mixture and see whats good!!

18 weeks + 2 days of 12/12?

you've got some patience...

Yep 18 weeks of 12/12, this is the second time in a row I have gotten that pheno.

It kind of sucks, because this plant you really cant tell how long it will go in early flower so I kept it around and it just kept going and going. Luckily it yields well to make up for the long flowering time. I like to do a few long flowering sativa's each year, they are really a quality of bud that is damn near impossible to find unless you grow them yourself.
