reservoir tanks?

Looking for ideas for reservoir tanks that will be low profile, preferably one that will have a low spot for the pump, so it can actually pump most of the water out of it. I have a 50 gallon tote, but the pump cannot get the last 3-4 inches of water out of it, which is quite a bit because of the large area it takes up. I thought about a trashcan, but they are only 32 gallons and may not work as far as room is concerned. One that is 18" or less would be great so as to fit underneath a table... But something tall and skinny MIGHT be ok. Any suggestions?

Have you tried mounting the pump on the side of your rez with the suction cups, then aim the intake downwards.....also removing the filter assembly will get ya a few more inches usually. Peace DLB

What he said. removing the prefilter and facing the intake down is what I do.
