A little back ground is probably needed with a title like that. This first picture shows the enclosure that is being used. Its a exo terra 18x18x24in high. With a soil bed of ffof. It has two light hoods on top. each houses 120watts of cfls. two 60watts in each hood. Each hood has been custom cut and fitted with one exhaust fan and one intake fan. Ill get more detailed pictures as it progresses.

Now this picture is the beast at hand. She is my gardens keeper. She eats any bugs flying crawling or just plain anything moving her tongue can reach. She is a adult graceful chameleon with a healthy appetite. So I figured why not put it to good use.

Right now there is only two plants in there while I get it dialed in. And they are two female green-o-matics. I went with autos for the test run until I figure out the light leak situation. But I plan to run clones in the soil bed once I get everything up and running right. All said an done, I'm hoping to have a 240watt cfl climate controlled pest free centerpiece full of 8 clones at any given times place in there on 12 on 12 off as soon as roots are showing. Check back for frequent updates and any advice tips bitching an moaning its all welcome in my thread.
Last but not least the two brave soldiers giving there lifes to test out an idea I had in a dream. 7 days above soil and looking good so far. It will be maxi bloom for nutes through the whole grow on these.

That's a very cool idea :D

Is there any chance she could damage your young ones? Like, crawl over them or something?

Best of luck.

Im sure once they get a little bigger she will explore em a few times. But I just gotta make sure I provide her with enough Branches and vines to keep her content. The cage looks empty right now because she was digging to lay eggs so I had to keep and eye out so I could see were they were to incubate em. But now I can put some more vines and stuff back in there to keep her occupied and off seedlings. Im not to worried about it, she stays off the ground for the most part and on the larger vines I place in there.

I had to move around quite abit this past year and a half and have had problems with bugs in my soil grows everytime I would set one up. And then one morning I was cleaning out one of my younger chams cages and I thought, hell. Even when I keep em in the glass cages with soil beds for breeding there still isnt ever a single bug left alive after the lights come on in the morning. So I figured I mines as well try to combine my two hobbies and have a little fun with em. So far so good and not a single bug has made past feeding time.

Ill get some pics up of the light hoods today with my intake and exhaust. I got a carbon scrubber in the making for the hoods also.

Tunin in for sure...best of luck bud :)

She seems to know what she's doing. Give her a watering can and leave her to it. Who cares what yield you get if you can smoke weed grown by a chameleon.
