fish ferts gone bad?

i dont get it, i have used alask fish ferts for years, no problems.

i mixed some in water, no problems. i didnt use it all, had like a gallon or two left in my bucket. left it alone for at most two days. came back and it smelled putrid. i mean worse than usual, but i gave it to a plant or three, now the biggest one of them is sick, wilted looking, like over watered or poisoned. been waiting for it to dry out. will put some DripClean in the water next time.


Q is has anyone had this happen to them? i only put maybe a tbs/gallon in a five gal bucket. wondering wtf. thanks

Sounds like it got colonized by some less than friendly anerobic bacteria possibly. I am not quite sure what your best plan of action would be, but possibly an AACT to combat the bad bacteria with good?

whats a aact? i hope it's tea. cause i just made some.

unfortunately, i just had to feed this plant again. i gave it 1/2 gal water with 5ml of pbp veg. still looking a little limp but think it will get over it.

my tea wont be ready for another day or two anyway. i think i need to make more than just three gallons atta time tho. hmmm.

yeah man you can't leave that shit sitting around at all it's a magnet to all kinds of stuff you don't want. I pour out any unused ferted water as soon as I'm done, cause like you said it gets funky real quick!

thanks for that, i never left any out before. man it reeked. shoulda tossed it. didnt kill anything tho, for once.
