hey everybody! been a member of these forums for the last 3 years and i finally have my setup going. feel free to give advice and come on in and enjoy the show..

i live in a really small place, so size and space was a huge issue. i continually clone and veg strains in a small closet/locker that is actually the prototype for those superlocker's they advertise for everywhere. The thing sells for like 795 (what a complete rip), but i got mine from the inventor who sold me his prototype for 50 bones with light times, nutes, ppm and ph meter so i figured what the hell!

i know that running a strain at a time has the best results, but variety is the spice of life so i plan to run a few cuts of each strain i have each cycle..

That small (veg) locker currently has:
-1 cut of exotic purple (fire, i'll post a pic later of a cured bud camera's dead atm)
-2 cuts of sour bubble (unknown phenos hopin for females...)
-6 cuts of skywalker og (super sativa)
-8 cuts of DJ Short's Vanilluna (unknown phenos labeled for further investigation, hopin for females)

i also have a few beans i just popped the other day.
due to space restrictions i have to pop em a few a time and search for keeper pheno's the hard way...

1 bean sprouted TGA's Querkle, TGA's Plush Berry, DNA's LA Confidential, and Grindhouse's Mob Boss.

My flower room is basically a Homebox S. It's super tiny because i my closet has a slant to it, so the hydrohut wouldnt fit. The dimensions are 3x3x5. I'm running a 400 w HPS with the nextgen ballast, and am super impressed by the nextgen ballast. very little heat and super small. starts right up no problem. the homebox is extremely small. so small that i couldn't cool my light, so i have a batwing and my carbon filter and fan exhausting separately. i was nervous about this but temps have been between 66 and 84 with the average being around 74-78 Fahrenheit.

in my flower room i have.
-four skywalker og plants (had six but my dog decapitated two when i brought them out of the tent to water)
-9 Vanilluna's from seed (1 didnt make it)
- 2 sourbubble plants from seed, hopin for huge sour phenos..

so far my strains are doing pretty good, had some nute burn a few weeks ago due to an inaccurate measuring device i was using. It took me forever to notice because i feed half strength and work up slowly. The skywalkers and vanilluna's got the brunt of it, BOG's sourbubble is top notch, his plants are so hearty and can take nutes no problem. It's funny that the SB were the youngest by far compared to the Vanilluna and Skywalker plants and they managed to handle the high PPM's better than any of em.

more roots on the clones today, only skywalkers showing roots so far... the Vanilluna, sour bubble, and exotic purple still have yet to show roots.

day 2 of flowering and im sick. so naturally i just roll up a joint and check out the girls all night...

i'm making sure I move em around alot, i've been having problems with powdery mildew and dont want it to ruin my crop. i've used serenade, which hasn't cured it. Azamax as a foliar feed, but so far have found that by miving the plants daily and trimming the lower shoots i've got it under control for now.

i never thought i'd be hoping for some males, but i could sure use the space. the tent is getting real tight, and if i don't reduce numbers soon PM could be a real problem.

thanks guys for stopping in, I was really excited about the Vanilluna too. Unfortunately only 3 of them were females. On top of that, all my most vigorous vanilluna's turned to be males.. so we'll see, i'm not completely discounting the runts, but the males certainly seemed to have more vigor and better development and structure.

The skywalker og's started to set flowers about 4 days ago, and the Vanilluna's and the sour bubble are just starting to show pistils, no flowers yet. I'm sure they could've benefitted from a longer veg, but space is definitely a factor for me.

My powdery mildew is driving me crazy! Serenade is complete shit. doesn't work, and it smells like a fucking 4 year old gym sock. my girlfriend complains about it everynight when i go to spray. i tried spraying with sm-90 and water with a ph aroun 8-9, it seemed to work better than the serenade but it wasn't a complete fix.

I then tried some neem, but i just hated how you have continually mix the neem solution. I was at the hydro shop to pick up the neem and i saw a bunch of dutchmaster free samples. so i picked up saturator, zone, silica, and liquid light samples. I have been hearing alot of people saying the saturator/penetrator and zone as a foliar does wonders for PM so i was interested to try it out. It seems to be working better than any of the other products ive tried so far. Safe in flower, so this is what i'll use for flowering plants with powdery mildew. I have some eagle 20ew coming in the male. Krunchbubble swears by it, says it keeps it off your plants for good... The only problem is that it should only be used in veg. does anyone know if its dangerous to use eagle 20ew if i live where i grow? I plan to spray my seedlings/clones with eagle 20ew and then hopefully they'll be good through flower...

I tried Liquid Light a few days ago, and the shit is crazy. It is fucking crack for leaves! i'm yet to see an increase in growth, but it sure seems to make the plants look happy, all reaching towards the light like a baby reaching for its mother.

My veg cabinet is packed with little babies. Seedlings, clones...
5 skywalker og clones, 3 Vanilluna clones, 1 Sour bubble clone, 3 exotic purple clones, 1 DNA LA Confidential seedling, 1 TGA Plushberry seedling, 1 TGA Querkle seedling, 3 BOG Sour bubble seedlings, 1 Grindhouse Mob Boss seedling, 1 DinaFem Diesel seedling, 1 Dinafem Blue Widow seedling, 1 Dinafem Blue Hash seedling.

It's gonna be really crowded in their when they grow up, but if they get a little too crowded i'll just make a few of them ornamental houseplants.

i'll get pics up of the flower tent in within the next day or so...

Yes, Neem is a pain in the ass,... but it's an effective mite prevention, and will systemically knock down PM too.

I habitually spray Neem every 1-1.5 weeks, the last time I saw mites were on a fresh cut from another garden,.... they were dead in less than a week, never to return in 4 months since I got that cut.

Same cut showed PM when cloned,.... Full run thru flower it had no PM thanks to the neem applications during vege......

Shit is almost a miracle cure,... but it is messy, stinky, PITA, and if over done can do more harm than good.

anyone know where to pick up an LVPK or SFV OG cut in the bay area? I'm sure you all have known the feeling of longing, and i absolutely NEED to get these girls in my garden. I miss the so-cal SFV OG i used to get down south, and i just saw a few LVPK threads that had me drooling...

I also have interest in getting Albert walker, the white, and bananna og if anyone has an idea where i could find those in the bay area...

bout to smoke some urkel and some oil and try to pass the fuck out.

Powdery mildew seems to be clearing up... I will spray in a few more days... zone penetrator seems to be working. eagle 20ew just shipped. Ordered some beans, subcool's space bomb. Can't wait to get the prophet from grindhouse, still waitin on that to come back.

on another note, one of my sour bubble beans didn't germ...

well these pics are from last week... the girls look even better now. the sour bubble is stacking trichs. i wish i ran an entire run of the sb... the VL looks good too, and the skywalker has trichs, but is just real slow on calyx development. we'll see, i expect good things from the skywalker i just anticipate a longer flower, it appears to be sativa leaning..

still having to spray with zone penetrator... the pm is popping up on in small patches.. :/ fuck. we'll see..

just found out randomly the other day that my boss is a grower. it was super random, yet made so much sense. he showed me some herb that was frosted with trichs, looked like a bubba cut that he grew...
