sorry... i think your right,but in the sense that there is no staight lines and we have to follow nature not our own wishes.
If I remember correctly the idea was if you gave the rich tax breaks they would be more inclined to invest which would lead to more jobs and a stronger economy. Perhaps if they had been made such that you only got the breaks if you did invest in ways that helped the economy then maybe it might have worked?

HELL no. I know a family in Shanghai, they came to visit us last year. I talked with their son, he's a teenager out there. He was telling me how the government banned facebook and youtube, and they have to use proxies just to watch a funny video (but still takes forever to load since the proxy is bouncing off a site in Russia).
Also, I just heard that China banned movies with themes of time-travel. so theyre essentially saying "for all you Back To The Future lovers, gtfo of my country."

Why don't you look at it this way. I make 100k/yr and pay about 25% of it in federal income taxes. Some guy who makes 20 million a year pays about 7% of it (if that) in federal income taxes. Seems fair to you right?

and by the way, to people who complain growers don't pay taxes... well i don't think so, unless you don't steal electricity, you pay tax for it, water (if no well used), growmedia, fertilizers, seeds, papers, ... actually everything utilized in the process of growing is taxed -> in my opinion the weed grown, is taxed "indirectly"...

This is true. My big beef is with income tax. I'm fine with consumption taxs, property taxes, etc. Having the ability to tax one's labor is a form of slavery.
