Am I Wasting Bandwith By Staying Logged on?

Sometimes I pass out and wake up the next day, and computer still running with ICMag still open.
Just wondering....
No smart ass answers...it's too easy, and you wouldn't be clever.

You shouldn't be, not enough to make a big difference anyway. It's really only a strain on the server if you're doing something that requires you to download the content of a page. If you're passed out then you're just at whatever spot you were at and everything needed was likely downloaded before you passed out.

That only happens on a Rez drop when I'm using "Reload Every".

My older tower stays logged on. My new notebook doesn't.

Either way, after reading one to many "I got busted," threads, I make it a point to log out and clear my history and cache.

No, it takes very little bandwidth for insomniac hackers to load your computer up with trojans and bots and siphon off your personal information.

Of course once they're done, your machine will start sucking bandwidth harder than a hillbilly sucking on a meth pipe.
