my mom wilted and looks dead

so I have a masterx bubba kush mom that has been in my veg cabinet for a few months now it looked nice and healthy until about two days ago. It started drooping at the tops maybe three days ago then yesterday was almost completely wilted and today it looks dead. This also happened to a couple og kush plants but only 1 or 2 branches would wilt and die

They are in amended soil, in 3 gallon root pots, are watered about every 5-6 days( the one that died had been watered with ewc tea 2 days before and no other plants showed ay ill effects) I have been feeding them with age old grow and bio bizz nutes weekly, I performed a flush 2 weeks ago with ph 7 tap water.

I have been battling some pest issues fungus gnats (gnatrol) spider mites showed up about 3 weeks ago ( hit em with azamax 2 times) some little wedge shaped small grass hopper about 1/4 inch long, and tonight saw very small green crawling bugs on leaves of some clones

I think that is about all any help is greatly appreciated as I dont want to lose any more plants and am struggling to fill my bloom room again as it is

I read part of that thread by chance after I posted last night needless to say I was less than excited about the possible self diagnosis last night so i guess if I want to keep any it is time to dunk in azamax

scratch the azamax dunk i re read the first post and the winner is bayer tree and shrub for me. I realized these little suckers have been with me since i started 7 months ago the girls were taking way to long in veg. I just recently got some og kush clones from a friend and they were clean they started just shooting up in size and were about 1 foot tall with tight node spacing at 3 weeks and have barely grown in the last month

Thank you for your help sometimes it helps to get a second opinion on things especially self diagnosing things on the internet:thank you:

Yo Larf,-
It gets easier. no really! lol

Things wuz different back when, basically it took me a decade to figure out kinda how to grow. - then I learned a lil about feeding, then it was bugs. - All I gotta say is thank god for the Internet. - And unemployment checks. - So be careful what you wish for,,,,

Don't take clones till the plants are visibly recovered - that should be a couple weeks,,. For right now, about all you want to do is trim off anything "Crunchy" They have been stressed, and need a break.

A lil summtin to help the roots recover, like Hygrozyme will speed the process and get the patients feeding and drinking better. - I think they changed the name,,,, - but you want an enzyme based root aid.

While they recover - do a search on "Spider Mites" and "Thrips" that covers the main 3 bug issues - then Powdery Mildew rounds out the bad-Assed 4.

Knowledge is key. Combined with vigilance, most issues never become problems.

An ounce of prevention...it is spring time after all. If it is RA's don't waste your time on Azamax unless you are in flower. Imid, Imid, Imid.

root aphids carry virus. So the wilting is probably a result of a virus. I wouldn't consider it gone yet, though.

1. Get some imid and flush your soil and foliar spray your plant thoroughly.
2. mix some diatomaceous earth with some water and water into your soil. (~1 tbs/1/2 gal)
3. Foliar spray the plants with asprin water at a dilution strength of 325mg/gal.

The plants will take a long time to recover and may need a second application of asprin water after a week or so.

Good luck, and always mix diatomaceous earth into your soil as it kills any crawling insects.

Sweet I have gotten 3 out of 4 out of the way

I got some monterey once a year insect control 1.47% imid I am gonna dunk those little bastards in tonight (cue the apocalypse now music)

I guess it is a good thing I have been lurking on this site for the last 9 months soaking it all in. I have never been good at anything until something went wrong and I learned how to deal with it and prevent it from happening again

Larfy -

If you notice - each of the bad-assed 4 requires a different treatment.

There is no one choice - no one "insurance policy" - Mis-diagnose the bug and use the wrong product - it will not get better. Using a product, "Just because" leads to other issues

Also, each remedy has some draw backs and costs - so it's not wise to use them needlessly. And that can lead to new more resistant bugs.

So - standing at the door with a big bag of bug sprays, may not be the best solution.

Having them handy when uninvited guests first arrive, and knowing what to look for,,,- PRICELESS.

A healthy garden is your best defence

- And I know what ya mean - I learn more from fuck-ups than successes.

Planning and gardening,,,,, - that's funny!!!! My garden, dosen't give a squat about my plans.

I found the hygrozyme but instructions are vague on how much to use and how often

Sam
That plan sounds good one question on the DE in soil since it contains calcium will it throw off anything since I use dolomite @ 2tbl / gallon

while I find it apalling that I come to this site for help with my dead mother I find comfort in the fact that she is in a better place (my compost) oh and last night your wife informed me that my mom wasn't the only early finishing, spawn of a hermaphrodite with a wilting problem

I use 2 tablespoons in 5 gallons - about 1.2 teaspoons per gal

The R/A's are going to be around for a week or so after treatment - then the recovery starts.

I used the Bayer Tree and Shrub @ 2 teaspoons per gal on my vegging plants.

Dunked last night with monterey once a year insect control after the pots were nice and dry I kind of went heavy on the dose based on what I read on the first post of the fungus gnats of winged root aphid thread then I re read some of the later posts that were more along the lines of the 2tsp per gal oops READ TWICE POISON ONCE!!! checed on the tonight and they aren't fried yay I foliar sprayed with some asprin spray to help with any disease so hopefully I am on the road to recovery

On another note does anybody know if the root aphid infestation could contribute to cloning problems?

Anything that detracts from the general health - isn't going to help make clones. Plus - the bugs attack the cutting - it gets ugly - as you know.
Like I said - let the plants recover, trim only whats crunchy, - they will perk up a few days after the bugs quit killing the plant.

Healthy plants make healthy gardens.

Monterey?? WTF is that? and where did you get that info?

When I say Bayer - I didn't mean aspirin - it's Bayer Tree and Shrub - they also make fruit tree

Are we on the same page????

Where you are, - I was - about 4 months ago - first harvest is a week or two out still.

Went to the store to get the bayer tree and shrub and there was none there. The monterey once a year has the same active ingredient as bayer tree and shrub 1.47% imid it was mentioned in the first post of the fungus gnat or root aphid thread. It was suggested by another member that the wilting could be caused by some sort of fungus and aspirin at an application rate of 325 mg per gallon as a foliar can help It seemed harmless enough to give it a try. Yes we are on the same page

About RAs: if the plant is not drinking, causing severe wilting, it's over. If the roots are already damaged to the point where they will not drink, they will not absorb the imid.
If they perk right up, then you are good. If it's a fungus, use an anti-fungal.
Aspirin can be used as a foliar spray, but I have had great success with it by adding it to the rez @ 325 Mg per gallon. You will see immediate results with that, within 24 hours, regardless of what ails them. Boosts their immune system and allows them to fight off otherwise fatal infections.

I had a clone start wilting on me all of a sudden for no reason (moist soil, no bugs), I ended up cutting her into 7-8 clones, put them into water w/ seaweed extract in it. They perked up from the wilting almost immediately, and rooted days later. I assumed it was a problem with the roots on the original clone, or somethin...

I used Bayer Tree and Shrub @ 20-25ml per gallon in a soil drench, killed off a bad infestation of whiteflies within 4 days...
