help me pick a mild sativa!

I'm thinking of adding a sativa to my garden, just to spice things up a bit. only problem is, i think alot even when Im not high, so sometimes smoking a super potent sativa will almost make my brain feel like exploding.

I remember buying mexican brickweed before that had an awesome relaxing up high... I could smoke a nice J with it, take my time and feel like a million bucks.

In stark contrast was Delta 9's brainstorm haze. One tiny hit off my pipe made my heart do a drumroll and I felt like I took too many hits of acid. I hated it so much I didn't smoke for over two months.

so I deduced that I should probably grow out a landrace sativa rather than something thats been bred for THC %. I'm looking at five sativa varieties right now at the bay, figured I'd order it now with my PCK order :dance013:

options are:
Luang Prabang Lao Sativa from Gypsy Nirvana
Thai Stick Sativa from Gypsy Nirvana
Kaya Gold from Nirvana (sounds like a very mild strain)
Mexican Sativa from Sensi Seeds
Guatemala Sativa from ACE

what do you think? the Luang Prabang Lao's sound awesome, but the kaya gold sounds like a good clear strain...

any other strain suggestions for low/mid potency landrace sativa genetics?

Thanks!:ying:

hmmm kali mist sounds cool, but the pic looks pretty potent...sometimes thats not a bad thing though, as long as its a gentle smoke. can't find the old mother sativa on the boo...

I dunno why but I'm always more drawn to the landrace genetics. I guess its the naturalist in me... :blowbubbles:

Panama Red by Cannabiogen. I will give smoke report when I harvest, but have heard it is easy going and strong. Let the trichs go amber with any of them to mellow it a bit.

I think you'll find this thread useful :tiphat:...

But to get right down to it... I'd recommend Apollo 11. It's potent but calm. Very uppity high, just love it.

thx for the link, good info there.

But I can't find the Apollo 11 seeds anywhere...which breeder/website should I check out?

I tried finding the original KKSC, but that was a dead end too.

How do all these anti-anxiety strains just disappear? only to be replaced with the eff-me-thru-the-ear sativas :shucks:

Also having trouble finding this one. The boo only has panama green and a cross of panama red with c99 which is out of stock.

oh okay i think ACE just has it listed as Panama...

then I think I'll pull the trigger on either the Panama or the Luang Prabang Lao from Gypsy.

has anyone grown out any of Gypsy's stuff? I havent really heard much about it...

If I were to be steering away from potent and paranoia, I would probably not look at thai genes. But that's just me.

If I were in the market for what you described, I would be looking very closely at Mandala ChillOm. I think it will fit your criteria from what Mike is saying about it.

well understand what the OP is looking for, probably can't help much with the newer strains
i found nirvana's PPP to be non edgy with some up, but certainly wouldn't mistake it for the feel the older Mexican sativas had
so subbing for the replies, a good topic

Mandala's 8 Miles High has a euphoric, gentle though visually and imagination-stimulating effect. I love it.

Their Sadhu is similar. Both are quite easy to grow. I like the way Bodymind is thinking there, too.

Panama is pretty darn solid. She packs on the bud, has loads of resin, and grows like a weed. The aromas are pleasantly strong.

What about mixed packs? That way you can get a mix of sativas? Mr.Nice has the regular lines in the mixed pack. Most breeders have off the wall crosses in theirs.

Do not go with Apollo 11, unless you plan to smoke it mabye twice a day. If you smoke A11 continuously, you will get a down Indica high. This is something people on here always fail to reveal. Even c99 will do this & I've grown/smoked numerous phenos of both. I'd suggest just stick with the landraces...you are on the right track.

What? The A11 I smoke has a smooth comedown and leaves me feeling clear and "normal". No groggy indica-ness here.

I always found Durban Poison to be a fairly mild smoke but it's easy to grow and tastes nice.
