Scotsmans grows in Coco.

Hello Folks,

Heres were Ill document my coco grows as much as I can and hopefully help out if any questions come up.

Veg tent is a darkroom 60,with a 250watt enviro pluss shade with a 4" ruck for extraction and a passive intake, this rooms used for keeping mums and cuts, and sometimes Ill use it for eary veg if my flowering rooms busy.

Flowering tent is a darkroom120 with a 600watt light with a parabolic shade.

My extraction (attic) consists of a 6" ruck with carbon filter.
Intakes an active 5" ruck bringing freshair in from outside.
Both fans are controlled with a primair.

The room size is 4x4x7 foot. Theres an oscalating fan aswell blowing between the cannopy and my bulb giving a nice breeze 24/7.

Nutrients I use is from the hesi range tnt/bloom/supervit/pk 13/14 and a doze of powerzyme twice aweek.

I dont use an ec trucheon anymore, just follow the schedule and read my plants needs.

My ph is always kept at between 5.9 and 6.0.

Now heres what Im up too at the present:

My cuts come out my prpagator on the 6th of march and where put into their first baby pots (see pics) of pure coco for 12 days, once they were well rooted I then put them into 1.4 litre square pots for another 2 weeks, same as before pure coco, after a week in these I also topped them all just the once.

This all took place in my smaller of the tents under the 250 enviro. 6 days ago I potted them into their final pots of 6.5 litres of pure coco, and now they sit 20/4 under my 600watts to continue their veg stage,so come tomorrow they would have around 4 weeks veg from clone, and probally just about ready to flick to 12/12 in the next day or so.

The strains are both uk cuts, killerskunk & supersilverhazexmango, theres 11 in there at the mo,you might notice the first 2 are in smaller pots (3.5,s) this is just a wee experiment in pot sizes.

So aye thats about it folks from me for the time being,I,ll update my journeys as often as possible without boring you all to much. Its a pleasure to be here at icmag, and thanks for having me,let the Scotsmans grows begin.

All the best for now.

Thanks folks for your kind words.

So on the 5th I decided to flip them into flower & all seems to be going along just nice.

Ive cut out the root stim now and have them on 5ml of tnt per litre with 2 drops of supervit per 10 litres of water.

I,ll keep them on their veg nutes for the first week of 12/12 and hopefully give them a nice storage of nitrogen before giving them the hesi bloom.

Also at sometime this week Ill get them into some individual saucers allowing them to spread their arms a tad more.

So thats about it for now, till next time,be lucky & happy growing.

Pullin up a seat here as I just switched to Hesi myself.....but I got the coco nute for flower. I notice you are not using their root juice as part of your regime. Any reason?

After just s couple of weeks of using the Hesi....my plants seem to be growing like crazy and drinking a shit ton more than when I used GH 6/9 micro/bloom.

Lookin real good.

Morning Lowman

Thanks for droping in mate.

The root complex has been used from as soon as the clones were rooted but now its been cut out since Im now into the first week of bloom as per the hesi schedule.

You,ll love the hesi range mate, nice and easy to use and like you say the plants seem to love it.

All the best.

Thanks Cats,

So today I decided to give them a bottom trim, usually I do this once or twice in the first 2 weeks in flower, and theres a few reasons why I do it:

1- Removing the bottom gives me no airbuds and makes trimming easier.

2- All the plants energy is now concentraded on the tops of the plants.

3- It gets more freshair around the pots.

4 - It makes watering that bit easier.

By the look of them tonight they could well be needing daily feeds now, thats a good sign, knowing theres plenty of roots and the plants are enjoying life so far.

Heres a pic of what gets took off.

I also like to trim the fluff away....but not until week 3 of flower. I really feel the first two weeks are too important to be putting the plant through stress.

But hey...whatever works.

Hello Libby,

I did say this above "

Ive been watering every other day up untill then and by the look of the picture your seeing they could be doing with a daily watering, alls good mate,Im on to it,thanks for dropping in.

Just too add,any dry looking plants are pictures took just before watering, this is done just before lights on and saves the pics from being all flash with the hps light on.

I like the roots to search for water/feed in each pot whilst still at a young stage, once Im satisfied theres a good rootball Ill then comence watering daily. Hope ive cleared that up.
