Organic Soil & Reverse Osmosis Water - What's a good cal / mag source?

If you are using dolomite it's a good source for both cal and mag. But since most of what we grow are cal/mag hogs,I use crushed oyster shell and kelp meal as well.

I use rain or RO and made a mix of epsom salts and ag lime. Oyster shell would probably be even better than the ag-lime. 1 part epsom salts (finely ground in coffee grinder) plus 2 parts ag-lime/oyster shell. Make sure it's all powdered and mixed together well. I do 1 tsp per gallon of water, in addition to the lime in my soil. I think a combo of ag-lime/oyster shell mixed with k-mag or sul-po-mag would be even better. No deficiencies.

Do ya'll think that 1tbsp dolemite lime per gallon of soil + black strap molasses at every other feeding until flush will be enough cal/mag to get me through using RO water?

I honestly think that would be strain dependent. What's enough/more than enough for some strains may not be enough for another strain. So a hit and miss until you find the perfect balance for what you're running would be the way to go.

EWC from a bin is great if fed a diverse diet.

topdress/slurry/ACT are good ways to use castings, listed in diminishing order of how much you need to use be effective.

It's a great idea to do all three.
