Hello all, and thank you for all of the great reading/learning as I have lurked for a few months here, grasscity, weedtracker and now I have officially decided...........hehehehe to throw my hand into the mix...... So I registered as a member and here I am

Just some background,
I am a 40 something year old average joe in California, that actually quit smoking pot for 6+ years after 25, while I took custody of my daughter (thats another story) and only recently decided to get my 215 endorsement for a few medical reasons and came back into the cannabis community. I also quit smoking cigs 3.5 years ago after 25+ years of 2packs a day.......(again, another story)


It was relatively easy to obtain my rec, and where disturbing it was so easy, I was also relieved to have an established doctor understand were I was coming from and help plan a way to use the benefits of marijuana to help get away from allot of the drugs I had been prescribed over the last 10 years for anxiety/seizures/arthritis .... BLAH BLAH BLAH, ENOUGH HISTORY!!!!!!!!!

So....
After finding a few great collectives here in the 916/530/707 area, I began smoking again back in November 2010. Where it was great to find a smorgasbord of meds, like going to the Golden Corral on Friday night for all you can eat crablegs , I still wondered why it was still 30-50$ per 1/8th for meds???????? or even 225+ oz.????? Especially If you are like me, I like a different flavor here and there And I got kids, a life, an exwife, a small business and other toys for my money to be taken from, not POT!

Anyway......Having never done a grow, I began reading and playing with a poor little woody kush clone I picked up at a local well regarded collective here in the area. I have moved this poor lil girl around quit regularly from a pc to a cabinet to a homemade ebb and flow, and then to my DWC/Coffee tub and now into the RM 5 Gal tub to my cabinet..............screw this lets get a decent size of space!~~ I don't want to grow small trucks of smoke nor do I want draw attention to myself of 8 foot monsters full of weed, just keep me in smoke year round. Here is what I came up with, YES I KNOW, it ONLY a 150 HPS and some CFLS and I wont get dense BLAH BLAH BLAH I KNOW Work with me, I have tween kids and a wife who is not totally into this whole growing thing. If she was, my 700 square foot shop would be getting a facelift and a solar roof

So I started with this.....

Bionaire air cleaner with HEPA and ionizer and charcoal filter rated to 85 square ft 24/7

5 Gal RM tub, inside 2.5” thick Styrofoam tub with spigot
5 spot lid with 3” net pots (only 4 in use)
Whisper Quiet 60 gal air pump to 24” air stone (running 24/7)
240GPH pump top feeding all pots @ 20 min every 4 hours

Canna Aqua Vega 20ml
Canna Aqua Flora 20ml
Superthrive 4ml
H2o2 8ml
PH 6.0-6.5 range distilled water

Gonna Veg for 2-3 weeks now that everything is settled in, take a few clones and then go to 12/12

You will be glad you upgraded to the 400, kid [under 50 is a kid to me], you should be able to supply yourself with fine quality meds with that set up. Ask yourself questions, look for answers here in threads. We all make mistakes, growers who become good do so because they learn from each crop. Happy buds.

looks like u got everything under control, especially for your first time. i did pretty well my first time too. i pulled 3.5oz off two blue mystics under one 400w with gh flora series and no ph meter or nothing lol.

Thats good to know, I figure I will run a grow 2+ times a year should give me plenty of meds for me. Thanks both for your feedback.

BTW, I added my flame defender fire extinguisher overt the tent last night for an extra piece of mind.

Well now that week 2 in the new tent is over, things are looking good I guess. All the plants are showing good growth, and the tent seems to keep temps/humidity/noise under control.

Last night I spent a couple hours doing some more LST work and started routing the larger stalks under my tie down spots , WOW it really opens things up! I figure another week or two to fill in the empty spots of my "pot" and then its time to flower.

Ok, well we have " HIT THE LIGHTS" ! Switched everything today to 12/12, did a 48 hr flush with just H2o and H2o2, which perked em right up so I did some more tying/tucking and started my Flower nutes at 1/4 strength.

Well, here we go....Picks in a bit. Oh shoot and I made my first batch of QWISO of of some ABV/half burned bowls/schwag etc. What a way to do the yards nice and toasted Happy Sunday

Well finally got a few minutes to get some pics out of my phone to share! Actually I am killing time in a dr's office waiting for the better half and figured let me get something fun done!


I did learn something else, "GO WITH MY OWN GUT"
Why you say? Well when I started with this grow in my "stealth pc" I went to a hydro store with my questions and they told me all about this great 2 part nute system for Canna and sold me the 2 parts.....NO Problem, EXCEPT EACH part, for Veg AND flower have an "a" and "b" part. Well after reading the bottle I finally figured out they only sold me part A of the veg and part b of the flower?????? WTF, next time Ill ask here and go educated.......

Oh well, I have the 2nd part for Flower now and we are moving forward. It looks like 51 days 12/12 for the woody kush and I am not sure on the SFV OG or Devils Weed, guess its time for a magnifier, these eyes wont cut it!

I have done nothing else, no LST, no cutting, no nothing. They seem to look good so I'll leave em be.

I do have a question, in the pics below the taller shoots on the left (SFV OG & Devils Weed) Should those be tied some more or let them grow now that they are on 12/12? They seem to be towering over the other lower growth

Thanks! The mrs. just isnt feeling the love but supports me fully in my hobbies I did figure Ill get her a req next year so I can increase my plant numbers. I been reading about vertical grows and have a few ideas up my sleeve

Again thanks! I spent the morning with a cup of coffee, a dugout loaded full of green crack and them shoots are tucked/tied tighter than a prom dates dress.

Got a good flush, and the nutes are "resting" as recommended by canna and being aerated until ph balances, and then we are off to week 2

HehehICMag and its readers have created a monster! First Ill show you the current grow, and again I am amazed at the change I have seen over these 3 small clones from long ago.

Nutes are upped a bit, and I have seen no signs of probs

Pics below, Then because of this experience I decided to get me a mother plant going So I am using the original "PC Cabinet/box" for a mom chamber and now is housing very nicely a granddaddy Purple clone. She seem pretty happy after 24 hours in her new home.
I think I may keep her in soil, but I'm not sure yet.
24/0 cfl 65Watt 6500 x 2
2 exhaust and 1 intake 80mm fans 24/7

Also I took my other cabinet and filled it with a 5 spot dwc rubbermaid tub.
8gal tub
25 gallon airpump to 4" airation stone 24/7

AND

A 4 site DWC with coffee tubs and separate stones in each tub.

These are under the 150 HPS, these will be for starting out door veggies /flower in RW, then plug em in the yard. I think its a great way to show the kids, and they can be involved. And then, Ill be ready for 9 new starter clones too

Oh yeah, we added to new silky chick to out brood. AND while putting some brush in the green waste tubs we came across a little tough guy in the yard......poor little guy was hungry and scare and got separated from his momma.

Sorry I havent updated, dam regular day job! I did build another large drip and flow system that current;y is germing basil and catnip, While taking the original blue bubbler set up and the coffee can bubbler set up and they are now putting out green bean babies daily

Well the girls are into week 3 of flowering (day 23) and I must say SHIIIIIIIIIIIITT! Here is what I have done since the last update.



4.5 gal tap water 140PPM
60ml part A/B Canna Aqua FLores
8 ml Rhizotonic
40 ml Cannazym
60 ml cannaboost
10ml PK1314
8ml H202 every 3-4 days
60ml bud candy

total ppm 1125 (hanna ) I have thought about uping A&B Aqua stuff some more, but I am trying to learn the art of dont screw with stuff that isnt broken....

And PS, aas happy as I am with the canna line it is now time to purchase a new bottle of BOOST, guess its time to raid the 401K or sell a kid...... I never realized how fast it would go and its exspensive, and I still have several weeks. Any tips? I know the bud candy isnt in the Canna line, but they seem to like it too.

Week 7 update


Leaning branches, heavy buds and a great smell! I have decided I am going to remove the buds at harvest and I am going to reveg them all to see what kind of difference I can get over the summer.

My new GDP momma is looking great in my little micro box and I will be making an attempt at cloning her over the next month or so.
