malaga vacation

hey there ppl i need some advice on where to live in malaga for about 2 weeks this summer. I'm planning to go there with 2 friends and we want to go for another week into moroccos rif. where should we go?

edit: its about some good smoke and a nice place to stay, not too expensive. any ideas?

I went through Malaga a couple years ago on my way to Morroco. We just stayed at a hostel that wasn't bad. It's very hilly there. As far as herb, I have no idea.

In Morocco, we hired a tour guide in Tangier. We paid him like €20 for the night and it was well worth it. He took us around the old city and into his friends home. Hash was super easy to come by in Morocco. The homes the guide took us into the people gave us hash. We ended up on the top of a coffeeshop smoking hash w/ some local men at the end of the night. You can also quit easily find hash for sell in the markets in Morocco. However, I found it extremely difficult to find alcohol. In fact, we didn't find any the three days we were there.

We went to Tangier and Rabat. Looking back I think we would've been better to go to Marrakesh and I've wanted to go back there since. Marrakesh is supposed to be really awesome w/ a huge market and the largest car-free area in the world. Another thing is that we booked over the internet and ended up paying more. They were like ok, it's $15 and then someone came up and pointed to the paper ... "I mean $30." There are lots of hotels and we were often the only ones in them.

If you're looking for locals in Malaga on this thread, you may be better with Spanish. It'll also be useful in Spain. If you don't speak it, I understand. I didn't for a long time.
