Just a reminder: Clear your PM's!

Hi everyone,

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I think it's a good reminder for all of us here.

CLEAR YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES!

Keep your friends safe, and keep yourself safe. Delete old messages when you are done with them. The odds of someone accessing your account is quite slim, but why take the risk. Don't let old information sit around.

If you believe your account has been accessed by someone other than yourself, report it to a Mod/Admin and let them take a look and take all the proper safety precautions.

Keep on growin' brothers and sisters. Stay safe!

True or not I always do it. I'd hate to fuck over my friends here if shit ever hit the fan on my end.. I need no co-conspirators.

What PM's? :bigeye:

Good tip though. Best bet is to NOT share any personal info. ;)

I don't think cops are breaking into international businesses to take down any little guys. Just my guess, maybe ignorants is bliss however.

Why you are sending anything in PMs that could be used against you is beyond me. To all you people on here "networking" meeting people who you have no idea who they are, you are officially an idiot. Too many naive people on these boards.

I agree that they probably aren't hacking into IC to bust closet growers, but I think it would be naive to think that the government is above doing dirt or bending the law to do some real petty shit. The other thing is that in the worst case scenario if my computer were seized then any computer forensics investigator worth the title would then have access to my account, or even if I opted not to stay logged in they would at least know that I frequented the site. Side note: there are easy security measures to take to mollify the danger of computer seizure, but I have yet to take those steps. In the future I plan to use only a laptop to access the site which is fully encrypted and does not stay on all the time.

Why you are sending anything in PMs that could be used against you is beyond me.
I think 99%+ of posts I see on this site could be used against the poster in a court of law. Simply being a member could be used as evidence. I don't send PMs like "I will sell you 1oz cannabis at 555 state st. at 1am", but every single one of my PMs has more info than I wish for LEO to have.

I'd just like to add, I do not exchange private information through this website. I do however delete all PM's as a common courtesy to those I exchange them with.

People have been busted over stupid stuff before, and I wouldn't put it past any LEO to use information found on a website to help seal a conviction. In many circumstances during a bust people have had their computers taken. I can think of a few growing related websites that have been shut down already... Protect yourself and others. Delete em'!

You all do know that even with PM´s you are required to follow the TOU.......so there should be no worries if you are following the rules in the first place....right?
